Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
They haven't over bid because they don't have to pay Fury £24 million. All we know is they have to pay Whyte £6.1 million. What Fury gets paid is between him, Frank and HMRC.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022, 14:21 Bob and Frank have over bid IMO, but they weren’t gonna take any risks.
It surprised there was no other bids.

Definitely done a side deal with Tyson to ensure they keep control.
They are going to be loving beating Eddie.

Yep. That almost always happens when the split is so heavily in favour of the champion and it's why Eddie had no chance without risking losing a packet.Frostieballs wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022, 14:34 Definitely done a side deal with Tyson to ensure they keep control.

Let’s hope this holds up now
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
Has anyone been to a boxing event at the Principality/Millennium Stadium? Is it as bad as I can imagine watching boxing in the centre of the pitch from the stands would be?

Yh forgot bout that. But Fury won’t want less than £20m or $20m surely.589555 wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022, 14:30They haven't over bid because they don't have to pay Fury £24 million. It will likely be on ESPN+ in the States.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
We'll never know, mate. There's a lot of BS talked about how much fighters get at the top level. The only guarantee here is Whyte's. There will have been 80/20 purse splits in the past where the champion has been paid less than the challenger.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022, 14:50Yh forgot bout that. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
I’ve been 3 times but always tickets on the pitch. The last one I went to was AJ/Parker and we could get super close for most of the undercard fights but when we took our seats for the main event the view wasn’t particularly good.
I went to see Williams/Skelton there. I think Calzaghe was meant to be fighting but it got called off so was a very sparse crowd. After the main event they still had a couple of fights to put on so we ended up just walking down to ringside and sat front row - no one really cared at that point.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
It's an all British World Heavyweight Championship fight and Tyson is a bigger draw than Joshua (according to the Gypsy wannabee), so this fight must sell at least 80,000 tickets. Anything else will be an complete and utter failure.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
it won't as principality or millennium stadium what ever it's called doesn't hold 80,000
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
If Fury turns in a masterclass like he did against Chisora it might end up being a bit one sided and boring.
I think Chisora and Whyte are a similar level.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
Being a stadiums the tickets hopefully will be more scattered on prices.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - April 2022
Entirely agree, and their fights show that. If Fury still has the legs to box and the elbow injuries haven't taken his jab away, it will be very one-sided.

But Fury's bigger than Canelo, Joshua and the reincarnation of Primo Carnera. Surely the demand will break the internet faster than leaked Kelly Brook nudie pics?

Surprised it will be ESPN PPV in the states. Late afternoon in the US on a Saturday.
Unless of course, being a FW card we can expect ring walks from Fury and Whyte to be at 12am right?
