Anyone ever seen this fight doing the rounds? I dunno if it was broadcast but would like to check it out, do have a weakness for the british heavy scene.

Anyone ever seen a write up or recall details of the fight...?

a glutten for punishment if ever there was. :D

I cant remember anything about it the bout itself but knowing the protagonists I can only imagine that an ugly maul ensued. :o

Red DRagon might be able to help?

If it wasnt televised I would suggest that Steve Holdsworth or Eric Guy would be your best points of contact.

If they dont have it, its unlikely anyone will.

There was only one fight between Long and Holden correct?

If yes, then highlights at least were shown on BBC - on a saturday afternoon slot.

It was shown all in Wales (and I've taped over it) but it could have been in England. In Wales, we have a show called Wales on Saturday which means our Grandstand is cut.

From what I have seen, Long basically tried harder and was just "being first" more often. It wasn't a highly skillful fight (obviously) but both guys tried hard. Long a worthy winner.

Sorry, I taped over it - so frustrated with BBC Wales' coverage. All I can tell you is that it was shown on Grandstand, so in an aftertoon slot.

i saw this fight. I vaguely remember the commentator, possibly richie woodhall, marveling about how Long was 'neutralising' Holden.
