Has Ryan Rhodes ever nearly killed anyone in the ring? If not, then I don't think he is in a position to comment until he's had that experience.

Eubank never was quite the same fighter after he did in Watson. Benn was never the same after the McClellan fight, but I think that was more to do with the damage he sustained. Benn seemed much more pragmatic about it, it was 'well, that could have been me there, tough shite.' Despite his protestations in his book to the contrary, I think Benn is the type who would see it that way, not a knock no him, but I didn't buy the stuff about him showing this tender emotional side at Gerald's bedside, especially as it varies in differing accounts I've read from interviews with Benn.

We all handle things differently, but a lot of fighters never recover from killing someone in the ring, or badlyinjuring them. If you look at Emile Griffith's ring record, you can see that post Parret, his KO ratio takes a nosedive.

If you get the chance watch Larry Holmes V's Marvis Frazier (Son of Joe), Holmes is battering Frazier and keeps looking back at the ref & waving the ref to stop the fight. I thought that was pretty good of Larry, he seemed to know he was hurting Frazier & kinda held back.

an impossible question to answer.i would immagine everyone except the really callous would react badly . until you are in that situation its impossible to know how you would react. how would you react if someone pulled a gun on you? would you shit yourself or react heroically? evrybody likes to think how well they would react,but the reality is there is no way of knowing until it happens.everything else is just talk.

Funnily enough I had a gun pulled on me in San Francisco, a bloody machine gun in fact which was jabbed in my chest. Bizzarely, I wasn't at all scared, but incredibly calm. I'm not trying to sound big, just for some reason I didn't get scared, it was all so strange that I was sort of non-plussed by it. I didn't act heroically, I gave the dude my wallet with 20 dollars in it, he gave it back to me sans money, and I went on my way. all rather civilised.

Two hours later, at a party, my knees started quivering and I sort of went into shock for a while.....odd.

I'm surprised you didn't karate chop the guy aside, deflect a hail of bullets with one fierce glare and then decapitate your assailant with a single blow, most 'net users/hard cases would have

I wish I had said that, but then again it didn't seem the time for witty quips. I'm not exaggerating, this dude was fekking huge, about 6' 4" and he looked like The Wrestler Ron Simmons, one of the dudes from that wrestling tag team 'Doom' He had a balaclava and just appeared from a doorway saying.

"Yo, you, give me you muthafukin money"

A bad time to turn Mr funnyman I feel.
