I’m looking forward to Andrade capturing the vacant WBO 168lbs title and then vacating it, because he doesn’t want to fight Janibek Alimkhanuly.

It’ll be fun to see Andrade’s fans fabricating so many creatively imagined fictional excuses!

Andrade is getting chased and hunted down by a fighter that is vastly superior than anyone Demetrius has ever faced in the paid ranks! :yay:

The so-called self-proclaimed “Boogeyman” is clearly running scared! :OhYes:

considering how stacked 154-160 was when he was around there, its almost impressive how andrade still managed to fight nobody

oh, but sure, no reason at all to believe the same thing will happen at 168, now that he finally beat the great jason quigley he's serious. im sure the likes of janibek simply will have nothing on his opponents

You clearly didn’t pay any attention whatsoever to Eddie Hearn’s reasoning for Andrade’s ducking of Alimkhanuly.

That’s the main flaw of your argument, it doesn’t even remotely resemble the claims made by Andrade’s own team.

We can continue to argue this point if you need me to provide videos of interviews as wellas a verbatim quotes?

How about it kid, are you brave enough to argue against Demetrius’s own team?

Please kid, come on, provide a counter argument and let me use Eddie Hearn’s own words to undermine it?

I’ll simply be copying and pasting information I’ve already posted to the forum… we’re looking at one minutes’ worth of effort on my side!!!! :yay:

You can feel free to paste comments on the matter from Hearn. I haven't read any.

Also you are overrating Janibek. He's good, but I don't think he's head and shoulders above anyone else Andrade has faced. I think if he fought Liam Williams it would be a 50/50 fight.

Your bluster and aggression is very strange. I don't know why you are so emotionally invested in the idea that Andrade is "scared". Most people who throw around words like "ducking" and "scared" about professional fighters are knuckleheads who have never trained or fought and have no clue about the realities of the business. You seem incapable of interacting with people without coming off as an immature twat.

lol, you don't think he's head and shoulders above ANYONE andrade has faced?

rob brant and ndam couldnt win a round against him, how many would alantez fox or jason quigley or walter kaudonwaka or luke keeler win do you think? and what about all the totally nondescript guys andrade fought before ever becoming a champ?

id pick janibek to beat everyone andrade has and would rate him as his best opponent. andrade fought no one at 154-160 despite those divisions having tons of talent at the times, so im not too optimistic his 168 campaign leads to many opponents better than jan

Here's a stupid question:

Why didn't Andrade fight any big names at 160?

GGG, Canelo, Charlo, Munguia, all refused to fight him. BJS pissed hot. Sure he's had some weak defences, but who doesnt? Canelo even has 5-6 names on his resume that are weak. If you're an idiot though and hate him, or just trolling, you'll bring them up over and over. :brick:

No you misinterpreted me, or maybe I just wasn't clear. I don't think Janibek would be the best opponent of Andrade's career, or at least not by a wide margin.

I'm not too confident his move to 168 will yield higher profile opponents either, but if he can't get Canelo or any other big names there, then he ends up a 3-division titlist defending against weak opposition, and nothing has really changed for him, has it?

Where is the evidence for these guys not being willing to fight him. It seems likely the fights not happening is partially due to Andrade.

he was even signed to fight charlo, only to withdraw to fight a worse opponent for less money

kinda, well, just like being all up for fighting jason quigley but not janis. jani was a world amateur champ/olympian/easily shutout and stopped 2 former champs back to back. do any of andrades opponents so far have that track record? how about 'even money' liam williams, who couldnt manage being 'even' with liam smith in 2 tries? i think defo he's head and shoulders above many guys andrade fought and id rate him better than them all too tbh.

it doesn't take nostraadamus to predict that andrade moving to 168 will just be a continuation of what it's been his whole career: fighting middling opponents despite tons of better fighters being around the weight

hey, do what you want boo boo, but then stop crying a river that good opponents won't fight you. this is not the first time he'd turn down a fight with someone clearly or arguably better than anyone he's faced.

That’s the reason why your attempts to justify Andrade’s ducking of Alimkhanuly aren’t aligned with the information conveyed by Demetrius’ own team.

You’re dishonestly trying to persuade everyone that your opinion about Andrade’s conduct is far more accurate than the words uttered by Demetrius’ own team, even though you’ve openly admitted to not even bothering to pay attention to anything they’ve actually said!
jujigatame wrote: 30 Jan 2022, 12:29Also you are overrating Janibek. He's good, but I don't think he's head and shoulders above anyone else Andrade has faced. I think if he fought Liam Williams it would be a 50/50 fight.
Zhanibek Alimkhanuly’s amateur pedigree (according to the stats cited by The RING) are outrageously impressive (record 300-8; nine-time Kazakhstan national champ, two-time Asian champ; and 2013 World Championship gold medallist)!

Zhanibek Alimkhanuly’s last two opponents, Rob Brant and Hassan N'Dam, have both beaten the current WBA super world middleweight champion, Ryota Murata.

Demetrius Andrade was willing to face Liam Williams, but preferred to vacate his WBO world middleweight title rather than fight Zhanibek Alimkhanuly.

Zhanibek Alimkhanuly is currently rated 6th by The RING, 6th by TBRB and 7th by ESPN.

Do you still seriously believe that Zhanibek Alimkhanuly is inferior (in commercial or sporting terms) in comparison to the likes of Zach Parker, Jason Quigley, Liam Williams, Luke Keeler, Maciej Sulecki, Artur Akavov and Walter Kautondokwa?
jujigatame wrote: 30 Jan 2022, 12:29Your bluster and aggression is very strange. I don't know why you are so emotionally invested in the idea that Andrade is "scared".
Demetrius Andrade is being marketed as the most allegedly fearsome and avoided fighter competing today, but yet he has ducked more fights than anyone else competing today.

Also, according to the legal documentation filed by his own lawyers, Andrade lied about his reasons for ducking Jermell Charlo.

Put it this way, Luis Ortiz was ridiculed by the forum when his own team conceded they’d lied about receiving lowball offers from Matchroom to face AJ.

And we know for certain Demetrius Andrade’s own team conceded they’d lied about receiving a lowball offer to fight Jermell Charlo, which means Boo Boo deserves to be criticised as aggressively as Luis Ortiz was.

Demetrius Andrade is a “PRIZE fighter” that accuses all of his world-rated peers of ducking him.

But yet he’s rejected guaranteed opportunities to fight Jermell Charlo, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Matt Korobov, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly and also the winner of the Lara-Hurd title unification bout.

The fact you’ve resorted to personal insults, defending a fighter that has openly admitted to lying about his reasons for rejecting Jermell Charlo, coupled with you also wilfully ignoring Eddie Hearn’s justification for Andrade’s ducking Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, means that you’re trying to defend a man out of pure ignorance!

Your attempts to insult me are merely an admission of defeat. Please keep repeating them, because I absolutely adore seeing people powerless to defend their own claims and abandoning their original argument!

Nowhere in that wall of text were quotes from Eddie Hearn on the matter, which was the one thing you referenced that I genuinely asked for more information on.

You are in dire need of self-examination. Do you have friends? Surely you don't interact with people like this in real life?

I don't know why you lie? You didn't even bother to look, did you?

Here's a post I submitted to the forum on the 2nd December:
Enlightened-One wrote: 02 Dec 2021, 09:27 Key extracts of an interview Eddie Hearn performed with the ‘Behind The Gloves’ YouTube channel, which was published a few hours ago:

When asked about the reason why he wouldn’t stop banging the drum for the Andrade-Charlo bout and instead make more realistic in-house fights with the likes of Golovkin and Munguia:

“…but they're not in-house fights, they're in-network [fights], like I can't, I don't represent those fighters. And if I did, I'll be telling them you got to fight Demetrius Andrade, because I can't say to Golden Boy, look, you have to listen, DAZN would love to see Munguia against Andrade, or Golovkin against Andrade.

“So it's incredibly frustrating, but when they say don't worry about the other guys [Charlo], you know, look at your in-house guys. I don't have any in-house guys at 160 to fight Demetrius Andrade. Alright. Why do we have to look in-house?”

When asked for his thoughts about the WBO ordering Demetrius Andrade to fight Zhanibek Alimkhanuly:

“How convenient was that?!?

“We write to the WBC, who have the ability by the way, within their rules… to order their champion to fight another champion… from another governing body.

“And one day later, we got the [Alimkhanuly] mandatory from the WBO!”

“What we’re doing is asking the WBC to order the [Charlo-Andrade] fight, but [WBO president Paco Valcarcel] then has the right to say we approve that, or we don’t approve that.

“But we wrote to both governing bodies and said ‘Mauricio, please order Charlo to fight Andrade for the good of boxing’

“Paco [Valcarcel], just to let you know, we’ve written to Mauricio Sulaiman, and if [the WBC] orders that [Charlo-Andrade fight], then please accept it for the good of boxing.’

“48 hours later, we get another mandatory [from the WBO]. No disrespect to the guy [Zhanibek Alimkhanuly]. He is a good fighter. I know who he is, but I’m not being facetious. But come on, who wants to see that?

“So now I’m in a situation where I’ve got to be creative. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet.

“Maybe Andrade moves up to 168lbs and becomes the mandatory as a WBO world champion.

“But we’ve got to do something, because we can’t fight that [Andrade- Alimkhanuly] fight!”
Here's the video, which includes Eddie Hearn making several disparaging remarks about Alimkhanuly:
