I'm "OK" with the undercard.
Heck, I've fast forwarded through worse this year already
But the main event is, for me at least, the best fight (on paper) to start the year and man have they made us wait...
Let's get it oooon!
I'm gonna be a little busy on Saturday..
Probably start the RBR on here and then chip off.. Be back home for 9pm, in time for main event.
I take it Shields is co-main.
WTF Ruthless! It’s the first show of the year, a cracking main event and you’ve got plans?! Someone may have to start a RBR separately in protest mate!
#BringBackWes
They were arranged prior to this being announced. nothing I can do. Had this event not been cancelled and re-scheduled 15 times.
Knowing me,, I'll probably have a stream on my smartphone.

Good man!
I’d forgotten about Wes. Not sure how mind thinking back!
I quite like these Gloves are off thingies…. Usually I don’t bother to watch the build up stuff….. but despite the dry Johnny Nelson presence these are worth watching for me. Especially if there’s a ‘beef’……
I do really want Liam to win because he’s a real old school type. I think it’s 50/50 although if pushed I might lean towards Eubank. But great fight…… although shame we’re gonna have to go through 2 beeatch fights first

Yeh, haha.
If it's on my phone, then I wont be able to switch to the site and update on here myself unfortuntely
It's really interesting because of their contrasting psychological styles they need to take into the fight.
Eubank needs to feel he is superior - to have that assured belief he is just a special top level fighter. Of course he has failed each time he stepped it up close to world level.
Williams needs to really dislike the other person to fire himself up - I remember Locket saying that Williams typically gets all consumed with his hate for his opponent. It's a risky strategy of course; he was reckless initially against Andrade, but it was that fire that kept him burning until the end.
I lean to Williams to just be too spiteful for Eubank.

Ohh!
Yes I'd love that. Eubank trying to box and use what he has learnt from RJJ, and Williams just coming at him with all spite and no respect
Can't wait!
Yes agreed - Williams is no Groves or Saunders. And in the same way, Eubank is no Andrade.
To be fair, both guys are a level below legit world class, and both very evenly matched physically and skill wise; thats why its such a good evens fight.
We know what both guys are now - there is no surprises, because neither guy is going to get any better skill wise.
I don`t think Eubank has the smarts to outbox Williams for 12 rnds, and I think the physical strength and pressure of Williams will be too much for Eubank at this stage of his career. That tattooed hairline of Eubank belies he is not a prospect anymore, and his fights in 2021 didn`t show him with the same intensity as a few years ago - he reminded me of his dad at the end of his career when he too relied more on the judges than his boxing.
Either way. Both guys are gonna give us a good fight.

You don't need a SKY Sports subscription to watch this one. Just noticed it's also being broadcast on SKY Showcase, formerly known as SKY One.
Pretty much available to everyone with a basic subscription to SKY / Virgin Media. Also available to viewers on Now TV with the Entertainment pass.

Far out!
Well I never...
It looks really good.
Seems I know as little about men's cosmetic enhancements as Mick thinks I know about boxing
There is a picture of Junior in the ring with Senior and Booth where you can clearly see the shape of his hair receding like Senior and his brother .. in 2015.
7 years later the hairline is solid .. although the hair shines now like a bald head ..
I think Williams will definitely have success at boxing range. Eubank just isn't good there. Williams has a better jab and should win at range. Eubank and Roy seem like a terrible combination going off the Morrison fight. Making progress does not mean doing nothing in the ring when you have an opponent hurt and ready to go. Williams has shown he can't keep his cool and fight to a gameplan himself. He also looked terrible in the first Liam Smith fight when he got the cut although it was terrible from his corner and the ref to rob him there when it should have gone to the cards and he would have won. His body language was bad and losing a clear boxing match the 2nd time to Liam Smith is not a good look. Against Andrade he responded much better when in a crisis.
I see Williams having success with the jab and at range and having no need to go after Eubank like he had to do to Andrade. Eubank is no Andrade. Williams should be able to keep his cool. Eubank will lose the first 3-4 rounds and then start coming on and throwing shots but will be getting caught himself. When it gets to this point Eubank seems to have a sturdier chin and Williams will engage in infighting and a slugging match and I think Eubank will start getting the better of it but WIlliams can more than hold his own and even in that kind of fight he should be winning when they are at range. Eubank is going to have to get to the point he was at in the Groves and Saunders fights where he is all out attack for several rounds. Williams is nothing special (when you are getting outboxed by Liam Smith it's not a good look) but he does have enough boxing ability to outbox Eubank but the difference between him and Saunders/Groves is footwork/footspeed.
I think Eubank also has the chin to do what he has to do which is what he's done before and I think he can make the fight a slugfest and come out on top but I am just not sure that him and Roy have the intellect to work this one out. It's very possible he loses a decision here off being stupid. So I think my pick will be Eubank. I think WIlliams is the better boxer but at the same time he got outboxed by Liam Smith so you can't rate his boxing that highly in terms of world level.

The only thing I'm sure of is that this will be a great fight, it can't miss, the styles will def gel, they will both go for it.
Darn right
They made us look forward to this for bloody months too.
All the RJJ training Eubank has been doing isn't going to keep Williams off him, he better go for it
Some guys aren't happy with the undercard, but I think there are at least two other fights on it might be OK.

Lovely post
I'm sold.
I sort of think the Morrison fight was an off night
At least I hope so.
I can see a break out performance from Eubank in this one, a performance that we've all been promised for a long while but are still waiting for.
Williams is a very tough fight for Eubank and Chris will have to be on his game and be willing to dig deep. However, I think after enduring a few tough rounds, he'll take control and wear down Williams for a late stoppage.
I want Liam Williams to win and think he could. But my head tells me this is a 60/40 fight in favour of Eubank, expecting him to be that bit better in most departments.
