Any news on Willy Hutchinson and his next fight?
No fights since being stopped in March 2021 and apart from a tweet in April 2021 saying he will be back he seems to have got quiet. Any ideas?

Barely heard a thing from him. I’d assume he’ll be out once Frank actually starts announcing some some more shows.Controversial wrote: ↑01 Feb 2022, 09:53 No fights since being stopped in March 2021 and apart from a tweet in April 2021 saying he will be back he seems to have got quiet. Any ideas?

Talk of him being the next Calzaghe was a tad premature. It will take him some time to recover from that defeat.

I think he’s got a fair bit of potential still. Not Calzaghe levels but could win a British title. For me the main issue was his matchmaking- I know fighters have to step up at some point but he went from journeyman to a decent British title level fighter and got badly stopped.Fearful_Freddie wrote: ↑01 Feb 2022, 14:14 Talk of him being the next Calzaghe was a tad premature. Agree. Has talent. Would've been better to have got back in there I think rather than having a prolonged break.maverick23 wrote: ↑01 Feb 2022, 14:21I think he’s got a fair bit of potential still. Clarke is a formidable man. It was too much.
Re: Any news on Willy Hutchinson and his next fight?
Clarke is tough and game but far from formidable. Hutchinson was a massive favourite going into their fight. Was a good performance by Lennox. Unfortunately his career has stood still since due to heartbreaking issues out the ring. Hopefully his back soon defending his title. Always nice to see a local lad do well.

Talented guy (I've lauded him myself on here) but in need of a chin transplant or a far better defence if he wants to make a big splash.
Re: Any news on Willy Hutchinson and his next fight?
If he's got any sense he'll get the hell away from the Ingle gym and get himself a much better trainer
A World Youth Gold Medalist of his ability and potential shouldn't be getting sparked out by someone of Lennox Clarke level.
Shane Mcguigan would be a good fit

What has McGuigan got which Ingle hasn't?

Actually just seen his Instagram page, more recent photos and videos of him training, also mention of a fight being announced soon by FWarren six days ago.

No chance. He’s a fighter through and through.

You Ingle Defence League, Sheffield boys are far too sensitive over anything said about that gym.
