Zhang is very poor, good result for hrg getting him as the final elliminator. Although if hrg comes in flat footed first 3 rounds could be dangerous for both men.

hell, this sheeyat is like a treat compared to having to sit through stuff like shaw vs joey. my guess is that hrg goes big bang on zhang

but to play devil advocates on zhang for a sec, who most agree is pretty bleh, he did hurt jerry forrest far worse than anyone else did and can punch a bit. so he'd be by that alone fill's most dangerous in a while, especially early before he has kidney failure again lol. fill is there to be hit too...i think this isnt so bad compared to a lot of hw fights, certainly not one's with an absolute locked on easy winner, prospect vs no hoper club fighter etc

Fair point, but all the other talk of an opponent for Hrg leaves me hungry for more than what Zhang provides.

Zhang became less pretentious after Forrest expoed him. Anyway, the matchup is decent. Probably the best opponent Hrgovic ever faced. At least not a punching bag.

Zhang has about 3 rounds to win because after that he will likely get finished. I can see him testing Hrgovic's chin early though so it might allow us to see Hrgovic on on the back foot for a few exchanges here and there.

If Zhang wins, he becomes IBF mandatory and will have a world title shot.

Zhang is getting older and slower, but he still has very good boxing skills and one-punch KO power. Hrgovic is also a strong puncher, but his defense isn't so good.

I think there is a real chance of an upset in this one, but only in the early rounds as Zhang doesn't seem to have very good stamina.

I sort of ment putting Zhang with a higher profile boxer, with more money at stake, he has to sacrifice his "0" soon, may as well be for the most money. I get the rewards for winning this fight. I guess I'm not at all sold on Zhang.

There were rumours of Hrgovic facing Zhang early December of last year.

The Sauerland’s even confirmed early January that they were negotiating the bout.

And I assume the talks were called-off back then, due to the IBF ordering the eliminator.

So this fight has seemed inevitable for quite some time.

I’m not sure what to make of it to be honest with you.

For sure, Zhang is better than all the journeymen Hrgovic has been facing, but he’s not a world-class operator.

How on earth the winner of this bout will be granted an opportunity to challenge for the world title is beyond me.

ya i dont mind it really, its not hrg finally fighting a top or semi top guy, but with how open he is and with zhang having decent early power and size im a bit interested. better than most hw fights made these days let's be honest.
