Agreed.

The problem here is the ongoing schism in the HW division between Anthony Joshua/Dillian Whyte/ Andy Ruiz/Joseph Parker/Alexander Povetkin/ Oleksander Usyk etc all on one side and then you have Tyson Fury/Deontay Wilder/Louis Ortiz etc all on the other.

It's almost as if HW boxing has 2 parallel universes.

The only meaningful fighter that fought on both sides
is a late career Wladimir Klitschko who pushed AJ hard and lost a nothing fight to a drugged up Fury.

A drugged up Fury who subsequently ran from a rematch.

Therefore it remains unclear which side has the better fighters, though I've got a fairly good idea.

If I'm right then Dillian Whyte is going to give Tyson Fury a very very difficult fight. Whyte is a far better boxer than any of Deontay Wilder, Otto Wallin, Tom Schwartz, Sefer Seferi, Francesco Pianeta etc.

I expect Whyte to have at least a 50% chance against any possible version of Fury.

Fury has indeed been railroaded into this fight as he didn't want to meet Usyk and preferred the bigger payday that FW is offering.

Of course the ever shrewd Fury was desperate for the Anthony Joshua superfight, one colossal final payday at the least, but fate had other plans.

There was also the matter of legal contractions enforced by the Wilder camp and Usyk surprising a lot of people.
Chisora has fought on both sides of that universe too.

I don’t know what you are talking about.

It’s abundantly clear that when there’s a lot of money to be made from the heavyweight division, Matchroom, Top Rank and the PBC are willing to work with each other.

It’s far too easy to list the names of PBC fighters that recently fought guys aligned with Matchroom and Top Rank.

The same applies with Matchroom fighters having faced boxers from Top Rank’s stable.

Sometimes fights aren’t made, because the fighters themselves refuse them (i.e. the PBC’s Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz both rejected multiple career-high payday offers to face Matchroom’s AJ and Dillian Whyte, but the PBC’s Andy Ruiz Jr., Dominic Breazeale, Charles Martin and Eric Molina were all willing to take Eddie Hearn’s money).

The thoughts you’ve conveyed in your post are outrageously incorrect, to almost stratospheric proportions!

Yes he has.

Delboy has fought Usyk, Whyte and Parker on the one side and Fury on the other.

Unfortunately these fights tell us very little because he has lost them all, but never without putting up a good fight.

Chisora did manage to beat Artur Szpilka in 2019 in 2 rounds compared to the 9 it took Wilder in 2016, but I'm not sure if that tells us anything meaningful either.

However I'm fairly certain that, if it happens, Whyte v Fury will reveal a lot more. Perhaps a little too much for the Fury fans out there.

Surely any HW boxing fan must be looking forward to this?

It's a great fight, one of the very best that can be made right now.

Except that he put up a very good battle against usyk, parker, and in particular Whyte and got totally dominated by fury.
Whyte's a good fighter, but he could get totally dominated here. Will be fun anyway.
