What a fighter. I saw again his fight against the great Marco Antonio Barrera and it was a thrilling fight.
It was Barrera's defining fight in my view that made him a certified legend.

He was way too inconsistent. Substance abuse issues likely contributed to him not fulfilling his full potential. Nevertheless he was a skilled and gutty fighter. In addition to being Champion as a pro, he was an Olympic gold medalist. I hope that he is doing okay today.

Kennedy McKinney 1988 Olympic Gold Medalist, WBO, IBF, WBU Champion. The first to every headline Boxing after Dark and the fight against Marc Antonio B was honored as fight of the year. Sure McKinney have had his issues but so did Mike Tyson and many other fighters. McKinney body of work in the ring has earned him a spot in the Hall of Fame. There are other fighters in the HOF with a lesser Resume than Kennedy McKinney. Kennedy McKinney never dodged any fighter.....Do the right thing and add the Champ to the HOF.....
