15 Rd Lightweight
O'Grady had a good chin, fire and skills.Good stamina. Shabby defense and tender skinned.Arroyo had good skills, defense and chin.Im going to go with O'Grady pressing forward making Arroyo work overtime.
O'Grady a decision win unless he gets cut.
Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
Z, I think Harry takes an upset split decision. Does enough to challenge the conventional thought of Sean winning.
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
That's true, now that you mention it
.
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
This would have actually been a tremendous action fight. Never even thought about it. It would be hard to pick a winner. Both men could take and dish out a beating. I would go O’Grady SD but not with confidence
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
O'Grady's an enigma to me. He feasted on bums, then stayed on his feat through a stoppage loss to Danny Lopez. Fought really well against Kenty and in his loss to Watt, then gets blown out by Ganigan and Verderosa. He actually hurt Ganigan with a right cross I think after the 2nd knockdown, briefly making me think he was going to rally. Think I might go with Arroyo here by close but clear decision.
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
It makes you wonder, if Sean had not given up the belt, how much farther he could have gone as world champ.
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
It does make one wonder. O'Grady proved his toughness against a few fighters. But then out of nowhere ,he was done.Seamus wrote: ↑03 Feb 2022, 22:15 O'Grady's an enigma to me. When the ability to take a punch goes, and your a slugger/pressure fighter, your screwed.
I think that's what happened, all at once with O'Grady. Even if the vast majority were bums, that's a lot of fights and punches eventually take a toll.
Pat may have helped build him up,but I think he hindered him by having him toss the belt and start up with the WAA.
Re: Sean O Grady vs Harry Arroyo
True that. There were several fighters he could've made money fighting and beating.zuru wrote: ↑04 Feb 2022, 16:13It does make one wonder. O'Grady proved his toughness against a few fighters.
