It looked like a generational change type of a fight. Probably it's better for Cuadras to retire now.

He’s the youngest current world champion at 22.

Must be to let people get some good/go for a pee.

I think Eddie must think it has to go co-main because of it being a world title fight. I think they’d be better putting on a lower level fight between the womens and the main event on shows like this. The Coe fight/finish would have been a good one just before the main event.

Excellent performance from Bam. A high quality fight. Will be interesting to see where he goes next. It’s risky to stay at Super Fly given the quality of fights there and he may want to drop back down to get a world title in another division.

Rodriguez is a really nice fighter. If he keeps developing his game he will be a P4P star. Slick. Tough. Throws nice combos. Uses both hands extremely well. That jab is wicked. He times it so perfectly, and it is STIFF. Nasty angles and footwork. A young fighter to keep your eyes on fellas.

Rodriguez oozes class , I had him winning 117-110, the footwork, angles, pivots are top drawer, very Loma-esque, the shift in movement to create the space for the uppercut in the 3rd was amazing, put Cuadras on his arse, the southpaw jab was class as was the lead straight left, just quality, Cuadras is tough put some nice work together himself, banged the combos to the body and gave Rodriguez plenty to think about, his work was trumped mostly by the skills of Rodriguez though, great performance especially with him stepping up in weight and levels

Good post mate. I didn’t think the commentators made enough of Bam’s jab, along with his footwork the biggest thing setting him apart from Cuadras, it was brilliant, consistent, both sharp and impactful, he kept perfectly timing the moment to take that step in just inside Cuadras’s lead foot to get the channel to jab through the middle.

I thought Cuadras was already slapping a bit with his shots by the 4th or 5th round. I’ve never liked his style.

Wow, what a step up from Bam, he looks a sure fire P4P star on that showing: a skinny young kid taking on a seasoned world level battle hardened puncher like that, is a recipe for disaster for 99% of young untested prospects …not this kid though

Nice performance from Bam, he looks to have the mixture of slickness/defensive awareness alongside tidy footwork and variety, one of the main things I found impressive was how he dealt with the bigger man's power, didn't look fazed throughout and showed he has toughness alongside his offensive ability. Good fight.

112-115 Rodriguez

Excellent fight. Rodriguez is a fun, tough, quick, skilled, hard punching boxer, with a well tested chin.

What a warrior Cuadras is. He was in it all the way, imo. Rodriguez had no breathing room to let up.
