I read this before and just remembered as Im watching Fletch. This guy,Burton Gilliam,had an amateur record of 201 w 16 L.
He was a bit player in Fletch,Blazing saddles and a few movies. Wikipedia said he was heavily involved in boxing after his career as a referee and other capacities.
I just thought it of interest.

what's the evidence that amateur record is legit?

so many actors and 'entertainers' have claimed fancy boxing records, only for there to be no evidence of them

I cant say %100 but it was in a boxing magazine I originally read it. Not saying that proves it but that was the original source for me.
