15 rounder.
How would this one go ?
They were both Southpaw stance.
I think that it'd be a very riveting duel.
I picture it being in Watt's backyard(Glasgow Scotland).
5-4-1 for Watt after 10.
6-5-1 for Watt after 12.
Watt then connects with one of his Epic headbutts in the 13th.
And then gets the tko win in the 14th,by way of Doc stoppage.
Jim Watt vs Robin Blake
Re: Jim Watt vs Robin Blake
As long as it is in Scotland, Jim wins. Even Chavez would lose to Watt in Scotland.

I think in a 15 round fight I'd pick Watt anywhere, especially Scotland. Blake was always fun to watch but he usually didn't beat the top contenders unless they were the type to just walk in, which Watt wouldn't do

Re: Jim Watt vs Robin Blake
Good Post ! I agree. Watt was quite cagey and well adapted by the late 70s. He took his share of Lumps earlier in his career, and learned, and adapted, and re-acclimated, instead of letting himself become mentally ruined, like so many other Shouldve would've could'ves. He had very underrated hand speed from what I've observed, especially displayed in the Howard Davis Jr bout in 1980.
Obviously his iron-will was another proverbial trait of Watt. He was a regular William Wallace,in Spirit. I was always rather partial to Watt, naturally, being that my grandmother on my Dad's side was born and raised in Scotland (The HighLands). She used to charm us all with countless tales of yesteryear, including Nessie(The Loch Ness Monster).
But yeah, in this showdown,Watt would Definitely figure out Rockin Robin within 4 rounds, and then do his thing and mostly have his way with the rather rigid Robin. Watt has the quicker hand-speed. And his punching power was also a bit underrated. Robin Would win rounds though, by using his bigger size and natural leverage advantages. But Watt would be too tough and stubborn to wilt.
Even the Mighty Alexis Arguello could not even deck Watt, over 15, And a faded Watt at that.
I say though that Watt may very well land one of those Trademark headbutts, simply because, well, if he did it to O'grady, then why not against an arguably even more dangerous opponent in Robin Blake..?!
Definitely something that wouldn't be a surprise. Watt may have had some sort of panic disorder, accompanied by an instinctive switch that'd get ignited if an opponent seemed to be out-gunning him, even if just for a brief 20 or 30 seconds of out-landing the Proud Scotsman. Kind of brings me to mind of Andrew Golota. And this is also funny cause my Grandfather on my Mom's side was mostly Polish.
