Usyk is highly skilled, but I think Qawi would win a decision.

Re: Dwight Qawi vs Oleksander Usyk
usyk would outpoint him
qawi did great vs holy but in general wasnt as impressive at cruiser, had several close fights with not too great of opponents. usyk with a massive height/reach advantage and the in and out movement would score enough points. usyk also has really good stamina and could cope with 15 fine
usyk cleaned out the division, did it all on the raod, then moved up and became unified hw champ on the road. very old school.....all after being olympic champ to boot. .yet the supposed old school boys don't give him much credit. didn't beat enough '10 round fighters' or fight enough in black and white i guess

Re: Dwight Qawi vs Oleksander Usyk
You may be right. Usyk's conditioning and training leads one to believe he can go 15 . but we "know" Qawi can go 15 fast paced rounds against 2 of the all time greats.Im a big Usyk fan,but not convinced he beats Qawi.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑09 Feb 2022, 16:59 usyk would outpoint him

Every opponent Qawi faced ,had the big height/ reach over him.
Beating Joshua was impressive. And Joshua showed great heart and skills against Klitschko. But he is hot/cold.
Ruiz shouldn't have made it to the 3rd round against a fighter the size and skills of Joshua. But not only did he make it past 3,he clobbered Joshua.Slapping him around to a k.o.
In the rematch he handily outpointed him but "should" have dug down and brutally beat up and k.od. Ruiz.
The fact that he didn't ,indicates to me his heart and confidence are now suspect.
Usyk has impressive credentials for sure.
But so does Qawi.Maybe he wasn't as impressive at Cruiserweight as he was at 175,but the experience and battles he had were priceless and at the least ,equally as
impressive as Usyks.
But this is only my thinking.
Re: Dwight Qawi vs Oleksander Usyk
I like Usyk by decision-way too much size, speed, skill and a southpaw to boot.
Re: Dwight Qawi vs Oleksander Usyk
If this is Qawi who fought Holyfield the first time, I think it would be close but I'd go with Usyk. I think size and speed would win the day but Qawi was an absolutely beast at the time of the first Holyfield fight and would have been Usyk's toughest test, IMO. That Holyfield fight was a classic and IMO Usyk v Qawi would be too.
Re: Dwight Qawi vs Oleksander Usyk
Usyk would win in a similar fashion to how Spinks did.
Re: Dwight Qawi vs Oleksander Usyk
Either one by decision, but it would be a war at cruiserweight.
