Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
Hearn kept saying ininterviewa that it was impossible for the scorecard to have Cash winning by 3 rounds and that given the 10-8 and 10-7 rounds it should have been a draw.
If Cash wins every round outside of the 2 rounds with knockdowns then he wins 95-92
What is wrong with Hearn? Guy is losing it

He had a mare with this. Surprised no-one around him corrected him though.
Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
Frank Smith also repeated the same nonsense after the fight as well.
Cash didn’t look great.
Cash didn’t look great.
Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
To be fair,I had to get the calculator out to work it out.

Cash didn't look great no, but that ruskie was a tricky bugger and tough as nails.

Never scored it but seen a fair few people have the 95-92 score so thought it must've surely been a possibility

Yep - perfect matchmaking for him. The Russian had a good ranking, Cash would have blown the cobwebs off and then some and knows what he really needs to work on now.forcefraser wrote: ↑13 Feb 2022, 08:21 Cash didn't look great no, but that ruskie was a tricky bugger and tough as nails.
He’s been through loads in the last 12 months so I’m not surprised he wasn’t as sharp as you’d probably expect but hopefully he can be kept active from here on out.

I'm a bit disappointed in how Madiev faded, credit to Cash for pulling it out the bag but Madiev went missing, he's got something about him but maybe a suspect gas tank, he looked tiny in there but punches harder than his record suggests

Madiev was eating jabs, it wasn't that he faded, he was struggling getting past Cash's better boxing skills.
Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
If you're opponent is from russia, has a big eff off wide screen telly head, one of them neck beards and his name is magomed it's highly likely he's going to be hard.

Yeah definite pattern established lol I got 10-1 on madiev and that was after he fit this description
Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
He didn't disappoint in the hardness stakes but I found it really odd that he waited until the last round to go for it .
If he'd have done that a round earlier who knows ?.
Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
I thought that too. He didn't seem gassed, just a bit discouraged. He had success taking it to Cash, but then let off the pressure for over 1/2 the fight. It should have been obvious for him going in, that he would have to eat or block a lot of jabs from the taller guy with a bit more reach, who is well known for pumping out a decent jab. And yet he clammed up when Cash got his sh*t together and did what he does. It was a very winnable fight for Madiev, he just didn't want to win it as bad as Cash. And for that, congratulations to Felix Cash

Can't believe that Russian lad only had four stoppages, he must have been in with some real survivors/hard nuts.

Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
the guys on the russian domestic scene, i guess the russian title equivalent level type of guys, definitely arent knockovers and there are a lot of tough gruelling fights. so that could defo be a part of it
that said, . could madiev's power have been flattered by cash's own shortcoming in chin? i'd seen maddy previously and never thought really that he appeared a lot harder hitting than his record suggested. he came across as a fit, physically strong but not hard hitting grinder, kinda like fragomeni was
i do rate cash as a boxer overall, a strong guy with boxing skills who can also walk an opponent down, but he didnt look very sturdy there. with the calamity in his life, possible he wasnt at 100 percent, and i hope to see him better in the future

Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
I agree with all this. First knockdown wasn't too bad, he got beaten to the shot (should have seen it coming, though). Second was more troubling, though, he really was hurt for most of the round by a standard-issue right hand bang on the chin with his guard up.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑14 Feb 2022, 18:03 the guys on the russian domestic scene, i guess the russian title equivalent level type of guys, definitely arent knockovers and there are a lot of tough gruelling fights. so that could defo be a part of it

In both cases Cash got punished for losing concentration, and it's not like we haven't seen fighters hurt by non-punchers who turn out to have pretty solid chins (Fury for example). So perhaps his recent troubles had an impact on the night. Not the best signs, though.
Re: Hearn losing plot on Cash Scoring
What are these 'recent troubles' that keep being mentioned ?

if i recall correctly
a bunch of family members were killed in a car accident
divorced by his wife
and there was another one i think............basically a clusterfuck of stuff for him all at once, worse than the usual 'rough times' and enough for it to genuinely f@ck with a guys performance
