Scott Harrison Update.

From The Belfast Telegraph.

Scott Harrison has based himself in Belfast as he bids to get his career on track.

The WBO featherweight champion has hooked up with Belfast coach John Breen in a bid to put his demons behind him.

After pulling out of his WBO title defence with Gairy St Clair, scheduled for May at the King's Hall, the Scot checked into a clinic suffering from depression.

He also found himself in trouble after a an incident in a pub and is awaiting a court appearance.

The WBO gave Harrison 180 days grace before making a further defence of his title, stipulating that in that period he take no drugs or alcohol.

Now it seems Harrison believes that the only way he can turn his life around is to get away from Glasgow.

Coach Breen admitted that Harrison was now working with him but would only add that: "Everything is behind closed doors at the moment. I just want to help Scott get his career and life sorted out. He has too much going for him to throw it all away."

Believe you me, he can get in plenty of trouble in Belfast, why move from one sectarian city to an even more sectarian one?

Will be interesting to see if he sticks at it. He already walked out of 2 rehab clinics!

Yes but as far as I know he is not involved in any sectarian trouble, it is just the drink an coke. I guess the idea is just to get away from places and peole he knows...

No I know that there's no suggestion there was a sectarial element, but Belfast unfortunately is a rough old town. I've got family who live there, and whilst there are some nice parts, there are also some very dodgy parts, west Belfast in particular.

he's lucky he didn't fight St Clair. St Clair just moved up to super feather & dethroned Cassius Baloyi in South Africa, to win the IBF 130-lb title.

Warren should get Arthur St Clair as soon as possible in my opinion.

In fairness I think Harrison would have knocked Baloyi on his ass to. Arthur-St Clair is very interesting. Alex is a good boxer and hard hitter but has a fragile chin (as Michael Gomez showed us). But Gairy is not a puncher so for me Alex would have a great chance but would have to bring his 'A' game.

Baloyi I read was losing to Medina too until he sparked Medina out.
