SoFi Stadium was made to hold 70,240..

CAN BE expanded a further 30k, but it said they chose not to on this occasion.

So was a near sell out.

AT&T is 80,000 (expandable to 105,000)..

Was the super bowl sold out? The canelo fight was sold out wasnt it? 3000 more than the super bowl could just be the extra floor seating on the feild.

If boxing is a "dead sport"...
If Canelo and AJ retired tomorrow...

Of course, but I can’t name anyone destined for future stardom at the moment.

And if someone is locked behind a paywall, appearing on the undercard of a PPV event, they aren’t going to gain much exposure.

Yh. Like someone said, boxing is trying it’s hardest not to gain more fans.

One thing you have to remember is the average ticket price for a superbowl is about 6-8 times that for any boxing match.

Ticket price the the super bowl is like $6,000 vs a couple hundred for a fight

The comparison is nonsense

For one thing people would've had floor seats on the field. For another I'm pretty sure SuperBowl tickets cost more, and for yet another thing. I'd be willing to bet that The SuperBowl sold more merchandise, and food and drinks to the people that came to it also.

They are really excelling at that...

Guys, by the way, I am not talking about whichever sport is more popular but just laughing at who considers boxing "dead" just because the general public knows one or two guys; football has recently seen Brady retiring and it's not like Burrow or Mahomes are huge crossover starts...
