Anyone know what the story was with brook’s gloves? Why glove up and get the the tape signed only to take them off in the ring? They were different to khan’s white gloves.

Khan’s entrance music was the highlight but a few lads to the left of me decided to have a tag match brawl which was more entertaining than the entire hour’s worth of undercard before.

I thought the piano was not needed for All of the Lights, But Khan stole the night with the entrance music.

If anyone realised, Crawford came out to 'Ain't Nobody' when he fought Brook.

Brook probably doesn't even remember.

Yeah. He came in with black gloves with gold and green thumbs. Then dom and the other trainer immediately took off the tape and put on the white gloves with rainbow thumbs. Was really odd to see, especially as it was before khan got in the ring. I mean I could be misremembering as I’d been out drinking since two and been to the city game beforehand.

In the contract Khan made them both have Grant gloves and I think it was even a certain kind of Grant glove. Apparently the contract mentioned it but it wasn’t until the last minute that Team Khan enforced it.

As the comms said I’m surprised Dom didn’t have any pads that Kell could smack for 20 seconds just to get the feel of them but Kell seemed to take it in his stride which is a credit to him.

I enjoyed the piano stuff. Something different and it wasn’t offensive. Always liked All of the Lights as an entrance song.

I thought brooks ringwalk /entrance was one of the best I've seen and enjoyed the piano bit myself , love me a bit of Kanye .
Khan looked like he knew what fate was instore for him and didn't look at ease with it at all .

Yeah he remembered...... he also came out to it at the last press conference. Khan tried every trick in the book because he knew what was coming. He looked petrified on the way in where as Brook looked focused and knew he'd put the work in. Unfortunately all Khan's talk got him bash from pillar to post

It also seemed like Khan had forgotten what it was like to be hit properly. I guess it had been three years.

But let’s be brutally honest Bo Mac & the rest of Crawford’s team don’t give a damn about Khan. He’s took his cut & they’ve all had a jolly to the UK & their flights paid for when they were probably coming to watch Taylor-Catterall anyway. Even if he looked shot they weren’t going to pull him out. It’s not a relationship like Ingle & Brook.

It was all bollocks that they were feeding him. Trying to pump him up & give him false confidence by having Crawford’s entrance music, Crawford & Bo Macs ‘tips’ on how to beat Brook, try & fornicate with his head over the weight & even on the night with the gloves.

All Brook & Ingle have ever said is that as long as Brook’s fit & does the weight well Khan can’t beat them & there wasn’t a doubt in their minds.

They do. It was just when Crawford & his brother Haroon & the rest of the cheerleaders turned left the expression on his face seemed to change. It was as if it was all dawning on him. Enzo against Haye aside I can’t remember seeing many fighters look that nervous making a ring walk.

Audley against Danny Williams I and Haye looked petrified. I seem to recall Audley looking like he was actually crying during the introductions to the Williams fight. Looked even more scared than Bruno v Tyson II.

Khan looked scared and I think boxed so badly because he was in such a panic throughout. He seemed to box in a similar state v Crawford. No jab, no strategy, no movement really, more running and then springing mad, desperate, flailing attacks.

They do. It was just when Crawford & his brother Haroon & the rest of the cheerleaders turned left the expression on his face seemed to change. It was as if it was all dawning on him. Enzo against Haye aside I can’t remember seeing many fighters look that nervous making a ring walk.

I suppose in Khan’s case his trepidation would’ve been based on the knowledge that he was shot to pieces and maybe also the memory of previous savage defeats contributed to his mindset and to the layman that seems perfectly understandable.

But it always fascinated me that in the tyson spinks clash Spinks an undefeated vastly experienced world champion seemingly in his prime looked so ill at ease in the ring while waiting for Tyson to emerge. I don’t like to use the word scared but he did just look very scared.

prime tyson was something else, can't blame spinky for sh!tting it against him. i get nervous just watching some of his old fights

Don’t know if it’s urban myth or not but spinks kept Tyson waiting and Tyson became so angry he was punching the walls and that got back to him. He did seem “scared” either way and was done by just about the first punch that landed once backed into the ropes

Yep I think you’re right Maggie there was a special aura around iron Mike that I’m not sure has ever been replicated elsewhere.

I’ve heard the punching walls tales too Orbtastic but I don’t know if I believe it- surely Kevin Rooney was too old school and sensible to let him risk injury doing that
