I stopped watching Sky years ago because of the dynamic duo of Adam and Jonny. This is the first thing I’ve watched with him on for ages and fûck me I wanted Josh to slap him.

Catterall always looks like he's boxing within himself and has more to give, he always shows glimpses but never puts the foot down, he's a tidy southpaw but even if he can raise his game Taylor has too much size, power and experience, he should get Catterall of there before the later rounds

jack is a euro level fighter who is slightly better than ohara davies, he might be able to last the distance if he's super survival minded, but even if taylor's off his game cant see cat having much success

It seems to be the modern way of boxing. Have over matched opponent after opponent, take very few risks. Avoid losing the "0" at all costs until it's title time, then get dropped in the deep end.
Taylor did it tough, that fight with Postol was tough and early. And that was a pretty good version of Postol too.

Thoughts on jay mcfarlands chances? I dont know the guy he is in with, thought he was just a big stiff rugby player so i figured odds would be close ish. I can get 10-1 on jay. (havent seen much of either wondering if anyone has an actual opinion on the fight)..

campbell's a big stiff idiot type. though he was scottish am champ and fought internationally a bit, so he's a legit boxer and not just a rugby player who suddenly became a pro w/o experience (like happens in aus). he throws his shots with decent technique but they're so slow. probably won't take much to beat him ......but my guess is that he'll be able to overwhelm jay, 10-1 is tempting though when you consider campbell's limitations. id have the odds closer myself

mmm watching that i like the bet. Big, throws a million punches but pretty poor acuracy and power i think. not a natrual puncher. Unless he has improved a ton he is nowhere near soko ready. And jays alright, but i think if he does beat jay theres a step between him and soko.

Bit scared of jays shape, been out a long time, but at 10-1 i quite like it.

We’ve got an undisputed U.K. champ fighting in the U.K. and I’m not even that fussed. I’ll still watch it if I can but it just shows how poorly Taylor’s been promoted up to now and how much of a mismatch this appears to be.

I actually think I’m less looking forward to this one than the Khongsong fight as he seemed to be a big puncher on paper and had some mystery. We know how good Catterall is and it’s a few levels below Josh.
