Yep was given it after Stephen Foster then lost it straight away.
Am I right in remembering he was a world champion who never won a world championship fight?
Can’t be too many of those.
Who beat him; was it Nicky Cook or Ajose Olusegun?

Jonas is now likely to take on Hannah Rankin in a unification clash.

In fairness Rankin certainly is competitive with Jonas in getting gifted a title.

Eubank Sr was gifted a shot, but went through hell to win it.

When Eubank knocked out Graham in the first round of their first spar at Wincobank, he stayed in some kind of weird stupor completely still as they rushed to attend to an unconscious Bomber - a 15yo Naz Hamed was genuinely terrified.

At 1:10-1:18 here watch how Naz is pulling himself away very wearily, despite acting up

Naz isn't pulling away wearily at all. He quite rightly pulled Eubank up for being a pillock

Brian Magee - was awarded full champion status literally in the build up of a "defence" of his interim belt - clearly the WBA wanted Kessler as their champion but they couldn't make it for the "vacant" title as Magee held the interim belt.

Alex Arthur similar - was awarded full status in the build up to the Cook fight. Although I think Gogoladze was a genuine enough fighter to be worthy of a full vacant title status.

Should we call him
A
Former world
Champion?

I like Quigg, he’s local to me and I always rooted for him, even against Frampton. But unfortunately, I don’t class him as a former world champion.

Stuart Hall!.... Didn't deserve a world title shot, and got a vacant IBF title against a very average opponent.... And Paul butler too, as he subsequently beat Hall.

You can't say Joshua was handed the title when he sparked the champ out and then went on to beat Parker.
Charles Martin was given the title by default due to his opponent being injured or he wouldn't have won the fight.

Probably been mentioned but Brian Magee - was elevated to full champion I think in the week / build up he lost to Kessler. I'm sure it was originally for a vacant belt but the WBA promoted Magee so he walked in as Champion.

The fight itself was a hard scrap, but neither Steve Robinson or John Davison were world class when they famously got paired for the WBO featherweight title.
