Big effort from Jay, took some ungodly punishment and still wanted it and was always in it. Was screaming at my TV a few times really enjoyed that.

Get dave allen in with nick Campbell, Can get a win back for the fat boiz.

Aye it was.

Fair play to them both.

Quality may not be great but give me matchups like this over talented prospects vs 1-50 journeymen
Get down to your local amateur shows and support them, you will see scraps like that of that standard and better. I do that and it's good but when I tune into Sky I expect more experience and ability. That's not being sniffy.

True. Sky should have far better quality than this.

It's the best we have up here. Scottish boxing isn't that big anymore sadly!!! We've never had decent heavyweights

Brave lads, well done to both.

My suggestion a couple of weeks ago that the presenting and punditry duties should be given over to the cast of Loose Women is getting nearer and nearer as the weeks go by

Who thinks Josh Taylor could win the Scottish Heavyweight tittle ?
or what about Hannah Rankin ?

Gary Cornish should make a comeback.

Good entertaining fight.

Shame McFarlane didn’t come into the fight fit and conditioned. He forced himself through bravely and didn’t quit but if he was fitter he could have won that fight. Campbell was hurt badly to the body.

I don't understand the mentality of fat fighters. McFarlane could have won that if he was 40-50 pounds lighter.

I wonder what Packie Collins record is with his fighters fighting in the UK. They mostly lose

I mean, that can be said about fat anyone. 50 lb lighter has its perks in the real world too.

A weight limit for the big guys would probably help.

UFC's 265lbs (18stone 13lbs) is decent. Anybody can get to that on the scale who isn't fat or over the allowable testosterone ratio.

Wow. To me it was like the white Scottish Larry Holmes vs the white Scottish Joe Frazier. A barn burner. What a fight. The best we've seen since Ben Shalom took over. The futures bright :TU:

I just find it interesting in how they take responsibility for it. For fighters it's different in the sense that McFarlane took a hiding, didn't win the title, got TKO'd, lost potential money etc and all due to his lack of discipline really. I suppose people make some other excuse. If a fat person has a heart attack or gets diabetes for example, it's probably rare for them to say to themselves, I just didn't have the discipline to lose weight and that's why I'm in this position.
