I watched an ESPN stream where Bradley and Ward were praising Jack but saying he was blowing his lead and was not active enough second half.

Who were the sky commentators going for?

what lead? ward had catterall down 3-1 to start the fight. he was pro taylor throughout , which is predictable since espn basically = top rank

How about 1-12, since it was a 12 round fight?
That`s not the question.

of course, since anyone downplaying the decision just wants to make it about catt coasting a few rounds out of a 12 rounds fight

Noticed a few American journos had it close for Taylor so assumed the ESPN crew saw similar

Sorry, I like what he is doing - but this was on his show and the fighter he has a longer deal (well Sky's deal with TR means Taylor's next fight is on Sky) with has won a dodgy decision. This is what we would be saying if this was matchroom.

Fan of Taylor but Catterall won that fight, that must be incredibly tough to take for him and his team.

they were probably watching on espn, which was horrible. ward had taylor up 3-1 to start and pretty much throughout. espn has a massive top rank deal, so it was predictable

I can't remember Taylor landing a clean shot all night.

Timing was off throughout and looked low on energy.

Did they even do southpaw sparring? I was shocked at how poorly he coped.

Definitely needs to change trainer, guidance was poor tonight between rounds.

As I said, I had Catterall winning by 2 rounds. It was a crappy decision. However it comes as no surprise. This was in Taylor`s back yard and Taylor was more aggressive despite being outlanded. Should he have won the fight? no. Am I surprised that he did? no. This is boxing unfortunately.

I gave Taylor 3 rounds, all close, might've had it a shut out, seriously, Catterall outlanded him in 11 of the 12 rounds, Taylor barely landed a meaningful shot, can't think of anything that stands out, he just forced Catterall back in late rounds and Catterall spoiled too much

yep, taylor could hardly put a glove on him , at least with anything clean

catt on the other hand landed flush over and over with the straight left

there is no basis on which taylor legit won the fight. he got outlanded, he got outlanded in nearly every round, he got hit with cleaner harder shots, he got dropped. the point off from cat was balanced out by his own point loss

outfought, outboxed, outhurt

Ward was fornicating terrible... Taylor was up 104-102 on his card after 11, he then defended it with a "story of the fight" comment later on... fornicating imbecile

fornicate 'who won what round?' this shit is beyond that level!

it's criminal! those judges should be either arrested or put in the looney bin!

one or the other, cause nobody in their right mind and/or not told/paid to do so would score that fight for taylor. Nobody! period.

So cruel on Catterall honestly, lad boxed out of his skin after being given no chance by nearly everyone, me included. Really really poor.
