i think he should have got the decison but as you say he did nothing the last few rounds
in fact he held so much he ruined the fight, its one thing using your skill to get out of theway its another deliberately holding round anfter round, in order to deny your opponent the oportunity to get back into the fight, maybe if he did not foul and hold so much taylor would habe been able to catch him

although
to me taylor looked completely drained from the start,

its not good but i dont hink catterall is world class, he deserved to win that fight but i dont think he is anywhere near world class and he has a horrible style, he is like a crab.



you have to laugh at natasha jonas complaining about the result when she was gifted a world title last week, that was as bad as the decisoin to night, there is no way her fight last week was worthy of any area title never mind a world title,

Just a bunch of excuses. Caterall beat a guy on the p4p list tonight. Caterall is world class.

he won rhe fight against a guy who was clearly weight drained and fought a terrible fight,
i watched catterall this week before the fight and Taylor as i had not seen much of them beforehand
Taylor looked completly diffrent tonight, catterall looked his usual self, no better no worse

he should have won on points tonight but he could have won so much clearer, tell me why he clung on for dear life in the last few rounds, he had a great opportunity to stop taylor tonight, he should have went for it.

i feel sory for him because i know how much work is involved in getting to this level in the sport
but everybody knows you dont leave it to the judges, personally think he could have been disqualified
for the amount of blatant holding he was doing.

Sorry, I like what he is doing - but this was on his show and the fighter he has a longer deal (well Sky's deal with TR means Taylor's next fight is on Sky) with has won a dodgy decision. This is what we would be saying if this was matchroom.

I listened to what,he said on the radio and read the quotes....yes but Eddie has said similar also on some (not all) of the bad decisions. E.g The one where Riston was gifted and the one where Terry o Connor had a shocker and was pictured looking at something. ...yet Eddie would still get flack as it appeared on his bill.

Seems like anyone saying Taylor won are going off the last 4 rounds.. it’s a 12 round decision. Not championship rounds only count decision.

Catterall could easily be up 7-0 on many scorecards and that would be fair..

He didn’t lost all the remaining rounds did he.

Every judge gave Taylor rounds 2,3,7,9 and 10 (a 10-8 round)
Ian John Lewis also gave Taylor rounds 4 and 12

Odd that round 11 is the way it is (it should surely be written 10-9, less 1, not 9-9 less 1?)

the irony is that taylor himself was the coaster last fight. thankfully justice still prevailed in that one, unlike this time

2 of the judges had it even after 6, when we here had it 5-1 or 6-0 cat. taylor could hardly get anything off in the first half (well until round 8 or 9 really) and pretty much missed with all of it, or at best glanced. meanwhile cat dropped in clean 1-2s repeatedly. such awful judging

like many others i like jt too, and found cat's career so boring. if i'd be biased towards anyone here it was jt. but he simply got his arse thorughly outboxed and outfought for about 8-9 rounds. you'dve been sure cat was the undisputed champ if you didn't follow boxing. jt's body language was awful too, looked totally unsure of himself and in a mare

credit to jt for sticking with it, he bit down and kept at it when it was going awry, and it paid off for him. but it shouldve been his first loss for sure
