Jack Catterall v Josh Taylor scorecards how did you have it

Post by IRL25 »

Morning chaps.

It is the morning after the night before regarding Jack Catterall and Josh Taylor, so how did it everyone score the fight. I had Catterall winning 115-110 on my card how did you all have it?

For comparison (but take the punch stats with a pinch of salt):

I'll be honest and say I miss a few rounds in the middle of the fight but I did give Taylor a few (atleast 4 I think). Even giving Catterall all of the rounds that I missed, I had it closer than most on here did because I thought Catterall was clinching way too much in the last few rounds. Punch stats dispute the view that he was behind in those a bit though so :maybe: don't really want to watch it again either because it was a pretty ugly fight overall.

Rematch would be fair.

http://eyeonthering.com/boxing/josh-tay ... -catterall

So far 25 out of 28 scorecards on here have it to Catterall..

I’m yet to add mine on there too and there’ll be more added soon as wel.

A lot of wide cards for Catterall.

The 3 fvckers who had it for Taylor only had it by 113-112..

Fvck IJL.

Bob Arum wins again. It's all rigged folks. Our sport is WWF and only mass boycotts will change anything. Boycott Top Rank bob arum and his tal mudic business practices.

11 - 1, 10 - 2, if you're generous and cause he's the champion or whatever give taylor another round but you will already have problems to find one. so let it be 9 - 3 for catterall.

gift taylor any other round of your choosing cause he definitely didn't win another round and it's 8 - 4 & there's still no way he won that fight.

corruption. plain & simple.

it's unacceptable.

A mate of mine said he watched the fight today. He never watched it live and he knew the result before he watched it.

He said on purpose he tried to give as many rounds to Taylor.

In the end he only gave Taylor 5 rounds MAX. And that was being generous to him.

one just can't score that fight for taylor. no matter what.

those 2 judges were instructed to give that fight to taylor no matter what.

they were told no matter what transpires in tha fvckin ring, score that shit for taylor.

it's so damn obvious.

they should never be allowed to judge a fight again.

proven corruption.

i'd like to hear them try to justify their scores.

Exact same score as me and I was thinking I was being generous as well.

I'm going to Monday morning quarter back it once I watch it again.
But for now on a first time around watch Catterall seem to win most of the opening six rounds, then he got the knockdown in the 8th which seemed to put a wide numbers gap going into the last four rounds.
Taylor did come on in those last four rounds and Catterall held a lot which should be highlighted, was it enough to give Taylor the nod ?
No it didn't look like it but perhaps the scores are a bit closer.
Certainly worth a review which it'll get.

Said it myself so there's that shred of doubt I might be off.
Catterall won most of the opening six rounds ... How many ?
That's what will come up on the review.
Taylor came on in the last four rounds ... That will come up in the review.
Excessive holding ... That will come up in the review.
Clumsy potential point deductions ... That will come up in the review.

Let's take another look.

Hmm. The first scorecard looks like 112-113 Catterral. The 2nd, 113-112 Taylor, and the third, 114-117 Catterall. Something is fishy here.

115-111, JC.

That was one of the worst decisions in a high profile fight I've seen.

It really wasn't close.

Ugly fight, though. I have no desire to see that again.

i think someone wrote 112 for cat, then crosses it out with 111, and that ended up making it look like 117
