margaret thatcher wrote: 28 Feb 2022, 05:27 seems fine to me. the hw fights are a bit soft, but good to have some variety in level and weights and also region tbh. i believe sour upset salek before so bit of backstory to that one tbf

mauricio lara vs emilio sanchez is one to consider as a backup if any of those need replacing, the co feature for chocolate vs jcm

what is the ideal number of fights for people? 3? 4? 5? i like 5, but i sense that 3-4 may be most popular and increase engagment. the week with linares overwhelmed some ppl i think
I understand IronBeard wanted to include fights not necessarily just the more high profile ones to expose more fights and fighters to us, which I don't mind but is also why I have created a commitee.
I wouldn't have picked the Aussie lad (never heard of him) or the Czech heavyweight fight with the back story if I was selecting fights.

I think 3-4 fights should be aimed for....5 fights on those occasional weekends where there might be 3 or 4 higher profile events on.

For those fights listed above, as you have suggested I would rather have the mauricio lara vs emilio sanchez for the picks than Meehan vs Singh which seems like just a prospect expeted to beat up a poor foe.

Jose Carlos Ramirez vs Jose Pedraza
Joet Gonzalez vs Jeo Santisima
Roman Gonzalez vs Julio Cesar Martinez
Willis Meehan vs James Singh
Tomas Salek vs Pavel Sour
Mauricio Lara vs Emilio Sanchez

Choose your order which of these fights to include.

1. Roman Gonzalez vs Julio Cesar Martinez
2. Jose Carlos Ramirez vs Jose Pedraza
3. Mauricio Lara vs Emilio Sanchez
4. Joet Gonzalez vs Jeo Santisima
5. Tomas Salek vs Pavel Sour
6. Willis Meehan vs James Singh

I would personally just choose the first 4 above.
Others let me know your order and how many you think should be included. Cheers.
all fine by me.

take em' as you chose them👍🏻keep up the good work. it gonna get more fun in the long run.

that chump's slide from the top down thru the ranks to the bottom of the barrel is just a matter of time.

The March League kicks off and there was a potential for 50 points this weekend:

7 participants scored 35 points as the max returns, including oogiebe (The Bastard!) so nobody has closed the gap on him in the overall standings :brick:

In more positive news however, I have romped into 2nd place :yay:

TOP 3 OVERALL:
310.0 points | 59.78% - oogiebe
255.0 points | 53.85% - Fightnight Scores
252.5 points | 54.12% - NoScoutingReports

margaret thatcher wrote: 06 Mar 2022, 04:31 just from a quick look at the boxrec homepage, some competitive fights next week include

maestre vs shelestuk
wood vs conlan
We could add a 3rd fight - on the Friday is a British Super Bantamweight Title fight:
Chris Bourke (10-0) vs Marc Leach (17-1-1)

The only other one is ShoBox on Friday. Prospects main event.

Ardreal Holmes vs. Mekhrubon Sanginov

Wood Vs Conlan is an excellent 50/50 one.
Only problem being that there is an A side and it is in England.
I would pick Conlan to win on the scorecards, but it could well be Wood on our cards... :maybe:

Okay....5 pretty competitive fights (on paper at least). The middle 3 I have never seen any of them before but should hopefully provide some intriuge.

Chris Bourke (10-0) vs Marc Leach (17-1-1)
Gabriel Maestre (4-0) vs Taras Shelestyuk (19-0)
Ardreal Holmes (11-0) vs Vernon Brown (13-1-1)
Jezzrel Corrales (25-4) vs Miguel Madueno (27-0)
Leigh Wood (25-2) vs Michael Conlan (16-0)

We all happy for these for the week?

Potential fights for next week please.....from my initial glances I'm seeing....

Sunny Edwards (17-0) vs Muhammad Waseem (12-1)
Regis Prograis (26-1) vs Tyrone McKenna (22-2-1)
Vergil Ortiz Jr (18-0) vs Michael McKinson (21-0)
Alexis Rocha (18-1) vs Blair Cobbs (15-0-1)

David Avanesyan fights too but looks like just a walk over bout. Shout up any others to consider or if any of the above should be excluded. Cheers.

The only other fight is Jono Carroll vs. Serif Gurdijeljac..

Should be straight forward. Not a fight worth voting.

I’m happy with the original 4..

If anyone wants to add Berlanga-Rolls?

I don’t consider it 50-50 but Berlanga has started to look vulnerable.
