Have to laugh at Warren ranting about Whyte not turning up to to help promote the fight, and then declaring it will sell out and do all sorts of PPV buys. Whyte obviously not needed then.
Whyte's gotten well under their skin with this tactic.

Yeah - he was angry in some of the videos. Criticising Whyte but when asked whether him not attending would affect tickets/PPVs, he said no because it’s all about Tyson. It’s been a while since he was that riled up.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑02 Mar 2022, 04:10 Have to laugh at Warren ranting about Whyte not turning up to to help promote the fight, and then declaring it will sell out and do all sorts of PPV buys. He said they gave in to Whyte’s demands re: a plane but also said they agreed to it finally the day before the presser so I’m not surprised it didn’t happen.

Yep. He said he got his lawyers on to The Sun yesterday for an article they had and he’s got them lined up to go after Whyte for not promoting it.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑02 Mar 2022, 05:25 warren's usually crabby and bitter, same guy who sued/threatened action against this forum
His lawyers are certainly kept busy. He’s the only person I’ve heard of who’s own legal team have gone after him for non-payment of fees. They were awarded the best part of £1m from memory.

He who we can't mention his name

I love this from Whyte tbh.
Fury is an insecure attention seeker who will hate not having a target for his 'mind games'. Let him do his cruise ship entertainer schtick and promote his fornicating energy drinks.

Whilst this is just on BT PPV, very interesting that Sky are actively promoting it as being available to their customers.

Yeh why not..
I've notices the Sky Sports website are covering all boxing now since Matchroom left. Not just Boxxer/Top Rank boxers.
Its a good thing, it's promoting boxing.
Do Sky get a cut from BT Sports Box Office?

Yeah. Credit to Adam Smith too who was at the presser yesterday. I don’t particularly rate him as a commentator but I think he firmly wants the best for boxing.
Whilst Sky Sports won’t blank it as they may have done in the past I’d be surprised if they push it anywhere near as much as if it was one of their own shows.

I’m sure they’d get a % of the buys through the red button.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑02 Mar 2022, 07:57Yeh why not..

135k in front of me in the queue, don't think I'll be getting a ticket
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I firmly believe Adam Smith (regardless of his quality) should not be commentating on the boxing. His loyalties are just too mixed and it needs someone with some level of independence (although mainly they will always become some form of cheerleader - see Mike Costello for an example).maverick23 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2022, 07:57Yeah. But he has been brilliant and honest these last few months imo. Trying to build a decent product for Sky from a standing start and also totally failing to rise to the bait from others. Classy.

Yeah - fully agree. Others (Eddie and Frank) could learn from him that you don’t need to put others down just to boost your own ego. A bigger sport is better for everyone.garethhop wrote: ↑02 Mar 2022, 08:12I firmly believe Adam Smith (regardless of his quality) should not be commentating on the boxing. I wonder how many of these tickets being bought will be on Stub Hub etc in an hour or 2 for much inflated prices ? Still 125k in front of me in the queue , if it is genuine sales then the demand has been underestimated.
I thought it would do well as since the C19 restrictions ended people are itching to get out for an event and this ticks the box.

Some will probably buy bulks and re-sell them.. Also, some will looking for certain tickets based on their budget, not everyone can afford the higher priced tickets of course.
How many are actually going on sale.
Frank said over 90k, but they might add some more at a later date?

That’s a tough sell. I wouldn’t fancy for a 4 hour coach trip back from this with a bunch of pissed up/coked up fans.

I think that's the only way they can up the crowd. There was loads left for Froch-Groves and AJ-Wlad contrary to popular belief.maverick23 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2022, 08:50That’s a tough sell. I wouldn’t fancy for a 4 hour coach trip back from this with a bunch of pissed up/coked up fans.

If allegedly's seen these figures then his shoulders twitch will being going into overdrive. Plenty of fiddling with his cufflinks too.

Not able to buy a ticket so either its sold out [whatever that really means] or the Ticketmaster site has crashed. To be honest I thought it would be a tough sell.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Only single £920 tickets left
