Re: Ezzard Charles vs. David Haye
Charles would wear Haye down behind his jabs and counter combinations to either decision him or putting him away with a late round stoppage in 13 rounds.

Never understood the fascination with Haye. Has to be one of the most overrated fighters. He constantly gets picked by people in these fantasy fights over guys that were light years better than anyone he beat in real life. Like Ezzard Charles.
Re: Ezzard Charles vs. David Haye
I never understood either and Haye was nothing special at heavyweight. Before Haye fought Wladimir Klitschko, Haye beat aging Monte Barrett, Nikolai Valuev to win the WBA Heavyweight Title and John Ruiz which were his overrated wins and when he finally fight Wlad, he got beat by Wlad convincingly.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑01 Mar 2022, 12:17Yes.Cutman Scabbers wrote: ↑28 Feb 2022, 21:15Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑28 Feb 2022, 11:56 Somehow Charles pulls off the upset and defeats the legendary David Haye.![]()

Re: Ezzard Charles vs. David Haye
For some reason a scenario like Charles versus Satterfield comes to mind where Charles was able to rise off the canvas and stop the much harder hitting man--- but Haye was very fast and certainly a better boxer than Satterfield was. But I think it would play out in a similar way. I'd lean towards Charles, although I would give the Englishman a pretty good chance of winning it too.

Charles didn't have to rise off the canvas. He was not knocked down in that fight. But thanks for you in depth analysis.

Been a long long time since I watched the fight so I stand corrected but Satterfield had Charles rocking all over the place. My point still stands that I think that is basically how a Charles and Haye fight would go.
By the way I wish you would apply your criticism skills to Joe Biden

Thanks for the footage.
Are those punch sound effects added?

If you want to compare Biden's honesty to the former Tweeter in Chief, start a thread on the Political Forum. This Forum is for Pretend Boxing matches.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022, 10:39

One of the all time greatest fighters vs one of the all time p*ssies and cowards the sport ever produced
Gee, I wonder who wins?

Re: Ezzard Charles vs. David Haye
I seldom ever comment so harshly on boxers, but I really, really don't f*cking like David Haye.
Talking sh*t to Vitali then pulling out of the fight, Talking sh*t to Wlad then pulling out of the fight, finally fighting him, then fighting at a glacial pace and blaming the toe, then talking sh*t to Fury and pulling out.
That's the guys career story.
