ya, pac also had a stretch in some of his earlier fights where he was winning, but getting dropped pretty badily (Even by a jab). made some great improvements

Mosley-Probably after the Forrest and Wright losses.
Bellew-What he accomplished after Cleverly & Stevenson was respectable.
We all thought he was finished after the Jones fights.

He was the epitome of a fighter cutting too much weight or simply not eating enough.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 08:49 ya, pac also had a stretch in some of his earlier fights where he was winning, but getting dropped pretty badily (Even by a jab). made some great improvements

Well done for missing the point. Usyk beat him, but it was competitive. He arguably beat both Whyte and Parker.

Not in my eyes. He'll continue to get beaten against anyone good. His performance against Usyk is hugely overrated.thenamesnevers wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 09:02

Overrated in the sense that some of the Skysports team had Chisora winning....another cataclysmic foul up by the Skysports "experts"
That said, Del Boy did put in a good losing performance against Usyk. Things didn't look rosy for Chisora when got he flattened by Whyte.

Re: fighters who looked done, then made a run
Gomez reignited himself after the Bognar rematch (despite the setback with Lear) he went on to box a lot of big names and got some decent paydays - Arthur, Johanssen, Khan and Burns.
Re: fighters who looked done, then made a run
And seen as I've already focused on this era, definitely not "done" but Witter went on to box some decent solid names after his defeat to Judah.

I just checked his record and he went on to a 21 fight winning streak, only to draw with a very good version of Beltran, after having his jaw broken in R2 of a 12 rounder- the bloody legend!

Yes, Charlie looked all done after his defeat to Jose Torres in May 1982. Boxing News had a picture of Charlie, reeling and about to fall, on the cover with the headline, in capital letters: "END OF A DREAM".
Six months later, Charlie trounced Torres over 10 hard rounds. He went on to capture the WBC flyweight title.

Thought Kev Mitchell was done after what happened at Upton Park then his next fight he dominates an unbeaten John Murray.
