Krusher will quickly dispose of the padded resume-owning Meng Fanlong. It’s a mere formality.
And the 39-year-old might even score one or two more victories over fringe contenders and journeymen, but as soon as he takes a step up in class against a young hungry world-class rehydrated 225lb-er (perhaps someone like a Lawrence Okolie type fighter?), he’ll get stopped in brutal fashion.
Sergey doesn’t live the life of a world-class professional athlete. And because of his age, poor lifestyle and inactivity, he won’t be able to compete against the very best fighters campaigning at 200lbs.
Kovalev's decision to continue his badly-faded career at 200lbs is a disaster waiting to happen.

A fight with Okolie could very well be his final big payday..Enlightened-One wrote: ↑04 Mar 2022, 06:49 Krusher will quickly dispose of the padded resume-owning Meng Fanlong. It’s a mere formality.

Would be a good scalp, just having that name on Oko's resume..

I think the biggest payday at 200lbs for Kovalev is probably Okolie. And I'd expect the Brit to defeat the Russian within three rounds, if it ever did happen.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Mar 2022, 06:55A fight with Okolie could very well be his final big payday..Enlightened-One wrote: ↑04 Mar 2022, 06:49 Krusher will quickly dispose of the padded resume-owning Meng Fanlong. That said, Krusher might struggle to receive meaningful opportunities though, because he's Russian.
I don't think he brings much to the table (in terms of financials) and the governing bodies won't recognise/sanction his bouts.
And the media in the UK might criticise the staging of events headlined by fights involving a Russian fighter.

Who knows what the media try to spin. Brit beats crap out of Russian in London.

F1 also terminated a Russian’s contract didn't they.
Thing with this fight is, no one’s sanctioning it. Well non of the orgs.
It’s probably down to the CSAC.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Meng Fanlong | Triller - May 14, 2022
Nothing on thriller fight club site or on their social media.the contract was sign on the thursday march 3.
And pascal claiming in different interviews that he sign a contract on the same thursday march 3 to face Fanlong on the 21st of may..............
See the interview on the thread created.
One of them don't know what's going on or is lying.

Are you accusing me of being unable to find any decent names on Fanlong’s resume?
If so, the. we agree about his padded resume.
If not, what notable names have I failed to recognise?

You continue to not understand what a padded record is. A record is padded when it has PADDING, which is lots of superfluous, easy wins. If he was 35-0 against a bunch of bums, that would be a padded record. If he's 17-0, it literally doesn't even matter who he's fought, it's definitely not a padded record, because there's no padding on it. That's a bare bones resume, not a padded resume.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 05:55Are you accusing me of not being unable to find any decent names on Fanlong’s resume?

It's like, on a person's body, the padding would be the fat. You're essentially pointing to a lean person and saying "man, look at all that padding." THERE'S NO GOD DAMNED PADDING!
Learn what the f*cking term means. It's just like I said, you're literally incapable of learning. I've led you to water enough times now. F*cking absorb information for once in your life.

Every time I mention Fanlong’s padded resume, you keep citing his lack of bouts, whilst flatly-refusing to address the blatantly obvious elephant in the room, which is the fact he’s been a pro for more than seven years.Lackeos wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 06:11You continue to not understand what a padded record is. Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Meng Fanlong | Triller - May 14, 2022
EO’s definition of padded.. I feel as though there aren’t ANY boxers probably bar Loma who didn’t have a padded record before stepping up.
So Usyk fought 10 bums in Ukraine before challenging Glowacki.
Was that padded?
Was Joshua’s 13-14 fights before challenging the world title padded?
Brook was around 30-0 before he really stepped up. Prior to that he had British belt fights etc.. was that padded?
It seems like it’s just a normal thing, for boxers to ‘pad’ their records. Get used to the pro ranks, get into the orgs rankings and eventually step up.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Meng Fanlong | Triller - May 14, 2022
The fact that he's been a pro for seven years diminishes your point. I already explained that to you, but you don't remember, because you have a learning impairment. Fighting 17 times in 7 years does not make a padded record, it is the exact opposite. Padded records seek to add as many easy wins as possible to a resume, which means, in 7 years, you'd have upwards of 30 wins. I feel like you're just acting intentionally stupid and incapable of absorbing information to troll me. But you're really trolling yourself, because you're making yourself look like a total idiot.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 06:25 Every time I mention Fanlong’s padded resume, you keep citing his lack of bouts, whilst flatly-refusing to address the blatantly obvious elephant in the room, which is the fact he’s been a pro for more than seven years.
In fact, to even say that I'm ignoring his time as a pro is completely idiotic when I have addressed that repeatedly. But again, information is completely incapable of entering your brain. Like, I've read all of the dumb sh*t that you've posted, and I still remember it. But you're showing that you have 0 recall of anything I've posted. I'll say it again, you are INCAPABLE of learning.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Meng Fanlong | Triller - May 14, 2022
Compared to Fanlong Meng, the first 21 fights of Kell Brook's career were somewhat more padded. More fights in a shorter period of time and a much higher ratio of easy fights.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 07:00 EO’s definition of padded.. The other fighters, EO would have to be stupid as f*ck to call their records padded. So I mean... it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

Fanlong has been a pro for more than seven years and the calibre of opposition he’s fought is very poor.Lackeos wrote: ↑06 Mar 2022, 09:41Compared to Fanlong Meng, the first 21 fights of Kell Brook's career were somewhat more padded. Therefore, he has a padded resume.
Is it possible there are other fighters possessing padded resumes?
Yes, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that Fanlong’s resume is padded, especially for a 34 year old fighter that’s been competing in the paid ranks for more than seven years.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Meng Fanlong | Triller - May 14, 2022
his record aint great but he's beaten far better opposition than de mori did and also guys better than de mori himself. de mori cant even crack boxrec's top 200 for good reason. who is the best opponent de mori has beat? boxrec has it as the great baden oui, who markster decisioned 18 years ago - the only guy he ever beat with at least 1 point
fanlong #16 boxrec and #20 on pbo
de mori #211 boxrec and not in pbo's top 100 (their rankings only go to 100)
fanlong olympian, world championship quarterfinalist, asian games medalist
de mori 11 local amateur fights
if fanlong is going to be compared to hws, obviously someone like fellow chinese olympian zhang zhilei (boxrec #29/pbo #34)is way more fitting a comparison. the repeated comparison to de mori is rather weird. very different records, different weights, different styles, different nationalities, totally different amateur backgrounds. obviously eo doesnt like this fight (that's fair enough) and is exaggerating to make his point

i should add that kov has had enough personal chaos and is inactive enough (no fights since 2019) and old enough (39 on fight night) for me to be interested in this one. it's stuff like that leads to upsets
