Chagaev was happy to step inside Sprott to land his shots, whilst Michael (as Michael almost always does) throws his otherwise excellent shots without stepping forward (fear of the counter) and thus doesnt get his power through, and doesnt physically impose himself on his opponents after the punch has landed.Max Molyneux wrote:If only Sprott had opened up a bit more, Chagaev's decent but a fast fighter with confidence could beat him.
Aye, Chagaev's soft like Samil Sam but shorter.
Being a Reading boy myself, and a friend of Michaels family, I am always hopeful that he will have an "on day". This fight wasnt his best, but it was a darn side better than the Vidoz fight. Chagaev is clearly a LOT better than Virchis, despite what we will see later.
I think he should have a tune up win, then look to take on Scott Gammer for the British Title. I hear they get a good atmosphere cracking down in Carmathen.

Bronze wasn't it? Harrison beat Dildabekov in the final.stujones wrote:Yes, never mentioned by Holsdworth - He mentioned Vidoz beat Harrison once and lost to him twice, but never stated he was an Olympic Silver Medalist and never said Audley beat him in the final.josh fg wrote:This the same vidoz Audley Harrison beat in the olympic semi finals?

Yeah, the official Olympic site has Vidoz down as winning a Bronze.
http://www.olympic.org/uk/games/past/in ... &OLGY=2000
Then click on Medals by country and Italy.

I agree and the irony of it since he beat Vidoz ages ago!nickd wrote:Way more ambitious that Harrisons. I'd certainly back Vidoz to beat Harrison now.
I hate the way our Heavyweights are wasting their talent, the eastern euros suck.
If ones like Bruno, Cooper and Bugner existed in this division they would of taken hella advantage over this current crop. Well not Coooper since he'd be a Cruiserweight.
