Big John fury at it again

Just looking at Fury's record, he was beaten in his pro debut by Adam Fogerty, a top rugby league player who tried his hand at boxing. No doubt Fogerty could have a ruck in his first sport but as a boxer he was horribly mechanical with absolutely no snap in his punches. Not a good defeat for Fury.

Met him at Parker v Chisora and he was sound.. very accommodating for pics, ect.
Part of me thinks all this is an act and he’s just being a huge attention seeker.
At his act, with his past, I’m sure he doesn’t want to fight anyone.
Ffs he even joined Instagram.

Of course he was accommodating to people who wanted to shake his hand and have a picture taken and generally blow smoke up his arse, next time you meet him have a general conversation and offer a different opinion and see how he reacts.

Agree, for 57 he is in fairly good nick. He is overweight, but not like you said, completely ravaged by time.

You must hang about with some knackers, Jim, Most 57-year-olds I know look well. As for Partridge, he's not aged much in the last 10 years, He looked 57 a decade ago but only looks about 60 now.

My dad has never been a big man, but has aged well. He's 71 and could pass for 55. John has always been a big bloke, I'd say he looks about his age. And he is a very thick set man in person.

On camera he’s definitely aggressive, often repulsive, and more often or not embarrassing.
I’m sure some of that is natural, and/or residual from his past.
I’m just going off my personal experience.
I was ringside and he was sat watching a fight intensely and I interrupted him by asking can I have a picture. He was completely fine.
Now interrupt him on IFL and he goes back to being repulsive, embarrassing and aggressive pretty much every time.
He’s no doubt a very rough, abrupt man but I’m just offering the opinion that maybe with a camera in his face he plays up a little more.
I have no doubt him and Frampton have spoken since.
Everyone involved in the game knows what this 56-year old version of John Fury is like. It’s not like he’s going around looking to blind folk for small, petty disagreements as some believe.
Take what you see on camera with a pinch of salt.

I was only young. He was top of the bill on Henry's pro debut, despite Henry selling all the tickets, literally. I know a few who played Rugby with him, I think he was more respected in that sport.

Freddie Flintoff could have got a record like this and set the benchmark for athletes turned boxers if he kept it up.

I watched Fogerty against Tommy Morrison's brother, Tim. The big Yorkshireman had Terry Lawless in his corner which tells you two things: Fogerty would be in shape and Morrison didn't stand a chance. Fogerty boxed with a cool head but there was no fluidity in his work and he didn't punch his weight. Morrison offered no threat, of course, and by pure coincidence we shared the same compartment in the tube after the show. I was going home; Morrison asked me if I could recommend a good nightclub.

Sykes and Malpass had two fights. Sykes was disqualified in the first one. The second one was a draw but Malpass should've got the nod on points.

The referee went to raise Malpass' hand but bottled it when Sykes saw what was happening and came marching over. Ref then raised both of hands, but it was pretty obvious who won really.

6-3, which should be 6-4 is a bum's record. Especially when one of those losses was a 1st round KO to a nobody.
