Enzo Maccarinelli: Best win?

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Carrying on with my 'Best Win Series'..

Image

He had a record 41 wins, with 33 KO's!

Had a record of 4-2-0 (3 KO) in World Title fights.
Had a record of 3-3-0 (2 KO) against former or current world titlists.

Which was his best and/or defining win?

What was his best KO win?

Some names that he has fought include:

Mark Hobson
Marcelo Fabian Dominguez
Wayne Braithwaite
Mohamed Azzaoui
Alexander Kotlobay
Ovill McKenzie
Roy Jones Jr

--------------------
Another question..

Regardless of win/loss.. Who was his best opponent?

From the list above, this would include the likes of:

David Haye
Ola Afolabi
Denis Lebedev
Alexander Frenkel
Juergen Braehmer
Dmytro Kucher

Might want to include his worst KO loss, seeing as he lost all his fights via stoppage.

Don't you mean worst ko loss ?

Wayne Braithwaite i'd say was his best win,Frenkel was the worst ko.

Enzo had a crazy-rollercoaster career....a bit hidden in the detail is taking out the hard nut Bruce Scott in just 4 rounds.
But the win over Braithwaite was his high point.

I'd have quite liked to have seen Enzo-Bellew cross swords - bombs away - but the timings did not work.

On paper his best wins were Jones and Dominguez, but both were at the end of their careers and many, many years after they were at their prime. Both would have beaten him if they'd been near their prime. Braithwaite had lost two of his previous three coming into their fight but might be his best. If not. KOing McKenzie after being Ko'd previously by him

braithwaite did still manage to ktfo yoan pablo hernandez after the enzo fight, he was defo not at his peak but still handy enough to rank as the #1 i think

when enzo won the ebu title in russia it was pretty satisfying. he had been looking on the slide, was brought in to get ko'd by a russian who'd been protected and had finally thought it was the right time, then he totally splats the guy in 1 round

the most brutal loss was definitely the one to frenkel, though the 3 round pounding from lebedev was really bad too in that uncomfortable beatdown kind of way. lebedev was mostly unknown at the time and not many realized just how good he was (future unified champ + perenial top 5 cruiser), so the loss seemed worse than it was

His KO loss to Karchee was bad to.. I think Ensor stepped in last minute too.

Enzo took as many bad beatings in his career didnt he.

Best win - Wayne Braithwaite.
Best KO win - Roy Jones.
Best opponent - David Haye.

Worst loss is debatable.
