Of course he's struggling to find top opponents.....when you're boxing the white Muhammad Ali no one wants to be humiliated like that for anything less than a million dollar purse......

Hughie Fury Wants Helenius and Dubois-Bryan Winner, Says BOXXER's Shalom

Heavyweight contender Hughie Fury is looking for the biggest fight possible, according to promoter Ben Shalom of BOXXER.

Fury, the cousin of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has been ordered by the WBA to fight Robert Helenius.

"That can happen. He wants a big fight now," Shalom said to Sky Sports.

"He also wants the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Trevor Bryan [who are set to contest that title]. He would also like to fight Bryan before Dubois, if possible."

Shalom had been trying to make a fight between Fury and division veteran Derek Chisora - but it appears that Chisora has no interest in facing the younger Fury.

Chisora, 38-years-old, is coming off three consecutive - with a decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk and a pair of defeats to Joseph Parker.

Shalom is trying to offer other options to Chisora.

"We wanted him to fight Hughie Fury but he isn't interested," Shalom told Sky Sports.

"We are looking at options and speaking to his team. We have our idea of what works for us. Other options? Michael Hunter, Chris Arreola, maybe Dominic Breazeale. It has to make sense for both parties. Chisora is still a big attraction in the UK and has plenty of options."

Fury has been out of the ring since last October, when he stopped veteran Christian Hammer in five rounds. The 27-year-old Fury has now won three fights in a row since losing a twelve round decision to former champion Alexander Povetkin in 2019. Fury's other two defeats, both by decision, came at the hands of Kubrat Pulev and Joseph Parker.

I was expecting Hughie to be a lot more active with Boxxer. Surprised he hasn’t been out already this year.

LOL. I fully bought into Hughie when he turned pro. Another Hughie famously summed him up when he said he didn't have the X Factor. His best hope is a mandatory shot.

There’s people on here who moan about Tyson Fury, AJ, prime Ricky Hatton, Prime Mayweather and so on fighting once or twice a year.

Hughie Fury and Nathan Gorman will be fighting twice a year or so for the rest of their careers.

Imagine how strong Hughie will be when he is 30? Guy just gets stronger every year.

Never beaten a live fighter yet, but he was robbed every time and now everyone is scared to fight the lad.

I like Shades though, seems like a genuinely respectful fella.

The only reason Del Boy isn't interested in fighting Snoozey Fury is they didn't offer him enough money.
Pretty simple really.
If there is one thing about Del Boy, he don't turn down anybody if the money is right. He is the epitome of a prize fighter, and that prize is money.

Tough to beat, impossible to look good against, likely to be a snoozefest, promoters aren't putting proper money behind him.

Shalom has been talking about Chisora a lot.. about possible next fights..

Seems like he’s exploring options to get Chis back on Sky Sports.

He should probably stick to lurking round judges’ gardens, reading the newspaper.

Maybe a little hopeful that Big Mak is really all that and bashes him to bits. (add a few head twitches and I'm all goosebumps)

I think by the time he’s 40 he’ll have far too much man strength for boxing and will probably consider a crack at worlds strongest man.

Seems like a natural next move for shades.
