I saw the advertising for 7 of them during the Wood vs Conlan fight.
And from the 7 main events, 5 were pretty much sure bets who the winner would be.
I mean, good on them for quantity, shame on them for fan friendly 50/50 matchmaking.
Who wants to watch fight after fight where you know with at least 70% assurance who is going to win?
Not me.

The Spanish and Italy ones hardly really count. Just lost there main event this weekend too which sucks. But they generally dish out a fair bit of decent content.

On one hand, DAZN is broadcasting a lot of boxing content, which is a good thing.

But on the other, many of the events are anticipated to be uncompetitive.

That’s always been the case with most DAZN events, whereby there might be ten or more bouts on each fight-card, but it would be fairly easy to successfully predict the outcome of at least 90% of those contests, which can be rather tiresome.

Also, many of the main events are headlined by fighters that aren’t considered big names, meaning there’s often a lack of quality.

I don’t really want to portray myself as being a “hater”, since I sincerely appreciate what DAZN are trying to achieve, but I can’t pretend their shows are better than I consider them to be.

Of course, some people would passionately disagree with everything I’ve just said, but if they do, they should consider the fact that DAZN doesn’t have many subscribers. And there has to be a reason for that.

Welcome to boxing, kid. You just described just about every card, on just about every network, ever.

Not to mention, you just described just about every live/untelevised card I ever went to, too.

There's a reason that some fighters get referred to as the 'A-Side', you'll find one of them in a corner in most televised and untelevised fights, guy. It's this thing called commercialism, bro. Fighters are like assets to promoters, promoters look to make money off them whilst taking minimal risk that would affect their perceived value, in the way that a loss would.

But, welcome, enjoy your new-found knowledge and the sport you have decided to start following, hope you enjoy your journey in the sport :TU:
