Three simple questions:

Do you genuinely believe I’m being disrespectful suggesting that inactivity and age will adversely affect GGG?

And which comments have I made about GGG in this thread that you consider to be an “attack that is in poor taste?

If Canelo batters GGG into submission, or compels the corner or the ref to stop the fight, then do you seriously believe that the vast majority of die-hard Golovkin fans won’t blame the loss due to Gennadiy’s age?
I’m not citing your quotes. If you can’t admit that your posts have been anti-GGG then your little secret ploy isn’t as conspicuous as you intend them to be.

Sure, GGG die hards who hate Canelo will definitely use age as an excuse. But what’s MOST important is that GGG will never even consider it an excuse.

If you’re looking for unanimity reviews of boxing’s many fair and unfair results then you’re looking for results that are rarely possible. GGG getting one last chance to right how he’s been wronged is what he and his fans deserve. Regardless of the results, GGG knows what it’s going to take to get his win over Canelo. If it’s too late for him then fine. He’s still a HOF in most fans eyes.

It's still a mega fight.

The Canelo camp know it and once again will take a an enforced risk. A double risk of either losing or further exposing the corruption in the sport.

They also know that Canelo could also genuinely win this time.

GGG is in a win-win situation. Win or lose, G is gonna make lots of money. If Canelo stops him, then he stopped a 40 y/o man. If not, G stocks will go up.

Eddy and Canelo I bet are most worried about the GGG fight versus Bivol. I think that both will be rooting hard for a GGG loss in his next fight so that they don’t have to deal with him again. People are all over GGG’s idleness as a negative but I think that it could end up being a positive. GGG’s probably not had a break like this since he was 9 years old. I’m of the opinion that GGG’s so damn good at what he does and it’s second nature to him. A long break like this could actually be a huge plus in this scenario and at this age. Canelo might end up in the ring with the best version of GGG yet.

We've seen how GGG looked against Murata.. Some say age, some say inactivity, some say Murata put up a decent fight over the first few rounds..

GGG has not been active since Canelo dilogy took place.

We've seen Canelo hit his peak since then as well an looks to have only improved.

Canelo can risk it. GGG's 40 by not bringing his judges or Juice. But he's no Kovalev and the increase in weight will slow him down. Surprise GGG scores a TKO.

GGG was simply too strong physically for the game Murata, despite the obvious deterioration in both footwork and stamina. His chin and power remained intact.

There wasn't a lot of boxing in that fight, although Murata gave GGGs body something to remember.

If the money is right Golovkin should take on the walking chem lab in September.

No point in asking for impartial judges or strict testing as these things lie outside Cheatenelo's belief system.

If Clenelo is still wary, and when has he not been, then GGG should call it a day and go out on top.

Still never beaten in most people's eyes.

GGG looks worryingly susceptible to body punches these days.

He looked in a bit of distress at one point.

I can see Canelo targeting Golovkin's body relentlessly if they fight again.

Golovkin is now the number one rated boxer pound for pound on BoxRec! Canelo is number two. Even with a fake draw and loss against Canelo on Golovkin’s record, a computer rating has Golovkin as the better boxer! This is amazing!

ggg looked fine. not as a good as he was but on that form he'd beat all but the best. very good win for a 40 year old

canelo will beat him up next, but it was hardly some depressing performance like some of yall making it out to be

Indeed, although G was looking in very good shape, his achille's heel is his body and Canelo is a savvy body puncher.

Gennadiy Golovkin still has two fights remaining of his six-fight deal with DAZN.

And last July, the media reported that DAZN had made it crystal clear about their unwillingness to pay GGG big bucks for facing more no-hopers, such as another Kamil Szeremeta or Steve Rolls type opponent, when they refused to allow Golovkin and Murata to engage in interim warm-up bouts prior to last weekend’s contest.

So regardless as to whether he should be hanging up his gloves or not, GGG will inevitably continue to compete.

And if he doesn’t face Canelo next, DAZN will force him to face someone else very decent instead.

Therefore, we either want GGG to receive a $20m payday to lose by stoppage to Canelo, or he receives roughly $5m to potentially get KO’d by the likes of Jermall Charlo, Demetrius Andrade, Jaime Munguia, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, or heavens forbid, even the appalling Chris Eubank Jr.

Therefore, anyone that considers themselves as being a genuine fan of GGG would surely want him to earn the biggest payday possible prior to hanging up his gloves, because let’s face it, he’s already declined to the point where whoever he fights next will stand a very good chance of dethroning him.

This means that Golovkin deserves one final massive retirement payday, by facing Canelo in September, because the alternative is almost unthinkable (potentially losing to someone that couldn’t even carry his jockstrap when he was at his prime).

Facing Canelo is obviously the lesser of two evils.

ggg won't get a fair shake in the rubber match either he 100% would deserve after getting fucked over back 2 back and also would need in a probably really close fight this time.

what 100 percent won't happen is canelo knocking golovkin out. not in this life.

golovkin has to bring the performance of his life cause if he backs off as often as he did versus murata which he didn't do in neither of the canelo fights, THEN THE CORRUPT REF WILL most probably stop the fight 'to save the old man from further punishment' by almighty canelo.

Nah, I don't wanna see them fight again.

I do want to see GGG get a win that I think he deserved the first time (second time I found close - watched it a few times, have GGG by a narrow margin, but can see it scored differently - first time round was as clear as a competitive fight gets).

Canelo would hammer him.

Agreed, but I don't think it will be particularly gruelling for Canelo, though I still expect GGG being competitive for a few rounds.

Agreed, but Canelo and GGG refused to perform a mandatory defence of their WBC world middleweight title against Jermall Charlo.

Charlo should still be facing better opposition though.

In terms of Andrade and Benavidez, they're both hype jobs that seem to be praised for consistently facing poor opposition.

I can't take either guy seriously until they face a serious opponent.

I don't think I could stomach the methodical beatdown Canelo will inflict on a guy I've loved watching over the years.
And even worse, GGG's chin will keep him in there, taking punishment, way longer than anyone wants.

Hope GGG just goes in there, picks up the cash and dick shots Canelo till he gets DQ'd. Get paid, avoid a beating, retire a legend.
