F W exploding on talkSPORT right now!

Post by Frostieballs »

If you are near a radio, tune in!

Jim White interviewed Whyte’s lawyer earlier, he made loads of statements about publicising the fight.

F W has come on calling him a liar, getting increasingly angry and falling out with the presenters.

They are about to get Whyte’s lawyer back for a head to head!

F W stating there are publicity clauses in the contract. Whyte’s lawyer saying first conference was a ticket launch event, not a fight conference. Etc etc.

Lawyer giving it back now about tickets / ticket master getting all tickets (suggestion of something not quite right) / F W financial stability!

"Where's the escrow?"

Frank acting like he's never done anyone dirty is gold. Now saying that Whyte's lawyer provided bad advice for telling Whyte to sign the contract because he's risked the money.

These two should do 4x3’s on the undercard!

To me it seems Frank's son has not been telling his old man the full story. Frank sounds desperate about the promotion and seems desperate to try and minimise Whytes purse even lower. Whytes lawyer is annoying but he seems to be trying to do the best for his client but his attitude doesn't help. Frank is clearly trying to do the shady business he is used to. Both getting wound up but I imagine Frank's the one feeling more uneasy by it because it's his money on the line. Best thing for the boxers to do is distance themselves from the business side of it until the fight so they can laugh at this

Years ago Hearn was criticised for agreeing an away deal for Kell Brook to fight Shawn Porter. It was interesting to hear him talk about the standard purse bid contracts not having any obligations on travel and hotels etc. No requirement to give the away fighter a nice flight seat or hotel etc. Really made me wonder why anyone at risk of going abroad would want to go to purse bids.

Demetrius Andrade will be travelling to the UK via Mozambique and staying at the Remada Inn I guarantee it.

Btw if solicitors charge upwards of a few hundred quid to write a letter how much does one cost to do an interview on TalkSPORT?

I don't know the lawyer but I imagine he's charging about £600 per hour give or take a couple of hundred if he's a corporate counsel. So for half an hour, half it. Doesn't usually matter what they're doing for the money, it's the time that matters. Solicitors will bill for the research/prep to write the letter because your average solicitor charges less than that per hour. In the grand scheme of things this call won't add too much to Whytes bill.

Cannot imagine he’s getting paid 300 quid to do an interview on a national radio.

Dillians lawyer seems woeful.

I fully expected to hear F W getting his backside handed to him but that bloke seemed to be winging it!

How have you arrived at that conclusion? I'm not saying you are right or wrong but a bit of research online suggests the chap is extremely experienced and somewhat of a big wig in the USA, UK and elsewhere around the world.

To be honest I thought the same as Oiky, he came across as a trouble making prick with no idea about the fight game, Whyte has been getting on my nerves since turning down the Joshua fight and is still getting on my nerves now.

Because of an opinion I formed whilst listening to that clip. Yeah the guy probably has bundles of clients, and has made strong money, I just don't think he spoke very well, sounded assertive or authoritive, or presented their side of the matter very well at all

Nothing you would want from a lawyer I saw in that clip
