Norman Lamont would agree.

Commentary on DAZN is pathetic. Warrington is a pretty light puncher who has just bashed up a smaller old man with 10 losses on the slate, aided by a succession of headbutts, yet they talk as if this is somehow a great win. Barrera, Loma, even a peak LSC would have demolished him. Lara battered him from pillar to post, yet Warrington is the world champ again. Worst era at 126 for a very long time.

that fight was fun yet horrible at the same time . blataant continual fouling by josh cutting kiko up, kiko gets the warning, then a premature stoppage . kiko throughout the fight would cover up in situations like that then come up back. i dont really buy that it was justified because he wasnt exchanging with him. hardly any of that flurry landed clean or at all

The commentary is more desperate than that on sky. Awful. They hardly ever call oppos shots.gb wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 19:30 Commentary on DAZN is pathetic. Yeah, in other fights I might've called it, but it all depends on former trends.
As the shorter man who couldn't compete on even physical terms in that situation, Kiko had shown himself willing to let Warrington tire himself several times previously, and he didn't get tagged with anything that rocked him. It was Warrington's single shots that stiffened his legs here and there, but the most dangerous weapon I saw in those flurries was Warrington's head.
I actually felt he was tiring at a faster rate than Kiko, who I felt wasn't that far behind on the cards, but that cut was always a massive hurdle to overcome.

Real problem with boxing, joshes best shot was that first headbut that stunned kiko, every bit of sucsess first couple of rounds was built of that. then kiko has to fight with blood in his eye the rest of the fight. Warington lands about 30 more heads, shoulders and elbows, causeing cuts on both eyes, and forehead, but gets no punishment for it.
Warrington is a better boxer but his path to victory here was nearly all fouls.

ya exactly, kiko throughout would cover up when warrington went into crazy flurry mode, then come back at the end of it. it was just how he does defense. hardly any quality landed there, it just looked flashyGrilling Machine wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 19:32Yeah, in other fights I might've called it, but it all depends on former trends.

Comms on DAZN were hysterically pro Josh. The same fight taking place in Spain sees Josh docked points early on and then it’s a different night. I didn’t think he was that impressive.
I think Wood sparks him and Conlan if he recovers boxes his head off and he doesn’t wanna go near Lara again

I wasn't really making a specific comment about DAZN in particular - just making it clear which commentary I was talking about (as opposed to, say, 5 Live, if it was on)blanca wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 19:32The commentary is more desperate than that on sky.
