Boxrec voters have this a close fight. Yet the bookies have Marku a strong favourite and Ben Shalom is already talking about Marku having a big fight in Albania after this, and even saying mabey Khan....

Am i missing something, I see it as a very very close fight, and it would definatly be the best win of eithers carrer, strange to be looking past it.

P.s Thank god there is a meaningless belt on the line for this so it will need to have judges, i fornicating hateee when the ref judges, and can no belive jenkins win over indongo was ref judged... way to high a levle for that, ref judging is for small hall 4 rounders, not decent TV 8 rounders.

its a good fight, i like it. id be more confident in jenkins if he hadn't taken that beating against essuman. he defo has the tools to outbox marku and win rounds but dont know if he 'll be able to keep it up. and also whether his face will hold up.

I certainly won't be watching this ..yes marku's always fun to watch but sky will be watching viewing figures very closely and the more that watch it expect more women's top of the bill shows and more women's fights in general !
I'm pissed off with this and how long before these hard working male boxers get pissed off with being demoted to less deserving box tickers !

Marku is poor. He got.a gift against that Prodan fella a couple of fights ago. Not a chance he won that.

Marku vs Jenkins is interesting, but not sure how many either will take to watch them in Newcastle.

It's not clear but Gorman may be off the bill, and that Geordie lad from MMA is off too (he would have created a bit of atmosphere if nothing else).

I said in another thread, but British boxing is currently way too stretched between numerous promotional companies and it's really showing in recents cards - this one, the Connor Benn card, and the Fury-Whyte bill (no supporting fights confirmed or even rumoured) are good examples of this.

I’ve seen him plenty. He’s a solid domestic level fighter. Does the basics well but cuts very easily. He was competitive with Essuman in the early rounds before a combination of a broken rib, him tiring and Essuman stepping up the gears got him out of there. He looked decent against Indongo but this version of Indongo doesn’t have much left.

I think Marku wins and I think the bookies have this about right I.e. Jenkins is a live underdog.

Got the skin of an over ripe tomato, but can box a little bit. Far from a banger. Id actuay say he boxes as good or better than marku. but dosent hit as hard, and probably isnt as sturdy (based of the size of markus heavyweight head)....

Always hard having to box with blood in your eyes but jenks gotta be use to it. I see some value, i dont have it a 50-50, but id have it a 65-35, and bookies are giving more than that.

Critical to win rounds early, markus heavyweight head could split jenkins thin skin head like a mellon at any moment taking it to the cards.

To his credit Former Southern Area Champion Chelli (10-1-1, 5 KO’s) is not phased by the late change and wants to get on with the job and deal with whatever is put in front of him to prove that he’s the real deal.

Fulham’s Chelli said, “I’m ready no matter what. I believe a boxer has to be prepared to face anybody at any time. I’m fit and ready and I’ll deal with whatever Kilgannon brings to me in the ring on the night. He’s unbeaten, like Costa was, Kilgannon’s ‘O’ will have to go instead.”

It’s a decent replacement but it’s still 48 hours notice. Kilgannon’s only fought one guy with a winning record and that was a narrow win at middleweight almost 3 years ago.

I’d expect Chelli to win wide or by late stoppage.

I like watching Marshall fight, she is entertaining, can genuinely fight and punch, furthermore she has lovely skills.

However her level of opponent is always woeful.
