Tommy Morrison vs Alexander Povetkin
Tommy Morrison vs Alexander Povetkin
12 rounds, both in prime, who, how and why?
Re: Tommy Morrison vs Alexander Povetkin
Povetkin knocks out The Duke in the mid rounds. Outboxes him and then batters him.

Re: Tommy Morrison vs Alexander Povetkin
I could see The Duke winning this.
Beyond the big left hook, he had impressive resilience and determination.
Vaulin was no Povetkin, but the way Morrison came back in that fight -- finding a way to win after being completely out-boxed and outperformed for 4 rounds -- I can never forget. Ditto the Joe Hipp fight.

He also came back against Carl Williams.Cutman Scabbers wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 13:37 I could see The Duke winning this.

Pinklon, the Truth, and Ruddock were on the downslide when Morrison kayoed them. Povetkin stops him in about 7.
Re: Tommy Morrison vs Alexander Povetkin
Well, it may be so, although the Ruddock fight was sorta more back-and-forth, without critical downfalls for both fighters.Cutman Scabbers wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 21:26Good point.
