Diamanté heard stories about horrendous incidents like this, from his brother cyclists, over the years.

I put on Diamante's Boxing Life Stories this morning just to remind me of his character.... He's certainly lived a few lives or at least said he has!

How could you think such a thing of a man who taught Metallica how to play instruments, got shot in Columbia, literally travelled the world in $1,700.....? Theres a lot more, yet he warns Tris "I've left so much out"!Wee Tommy wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 05:45So you think he’s full of shite Mickey?mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 04:41 I put on Diamante's Boxing Life Stories this morning just to remind me of his character.... It was a red flag when he said he taught Kirk from Metallica to play the drums. I googled him, he's a guitarist....

Fûck me. You’d think someone would call him out on it. I’ve actually never listened to Tris Dixons show but I’d have expected more than him to just sit and listen to a load of shite.mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 06:04 It was a red flag when he said he taught Kirk from Metallica to play the drums. I've just realised, despite mentioning motorbikes a few times, and it was recorded in 2020, he never mentioned his arm falling off in 2017. He's a grade a crank. I don't even think there's been enough time in his life to do half the stuff he claims to have done.

Tris lets loads go, especially with boxers. It's not a criticism, but you know when they get basic facts wrong, you can just tell he keeps quiet. Same with Richard Towers. It felt like nearly everything he said to Tris was a liemickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 06:31Tris lets loads go, especially with boxers. Ah! I’ve actually listened to some of this one ages ago and I agree with you. Big Billy Bullshit.a force wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 06:41Same with Richard Towers. Towers did two because he had too many stories for just one.

Re: Diamante's replacement
I struggle with a lot of those boxing life stories. Full of delusion, like 'I'd have beaten him if...(insert excuse)' I listen desperately looking for good news stories, to hear about people who have humility and speak the truth. Hardly ever find that. Granted I have not listened to them all but Diamante and Towers ones were esp poor. With Towers I was expecting to hear stories of how he was once a nasty bstard but turned his life around. Alas no! All I got was an audio version of one of those 'hard man' books where each story ends with something akin to '...then I smashed his head in'. A particular part of one of the Towers ones was so achingly like that, where he said he had a fight against some bloke after a car incident. Tris tried to move on but Towers wasnt having any of that, oh no. He basically begged tris to ask him how the other bloke ended up...and of course he 'smashed his fukkin head in'. As for Diamante, he should write fantasy books

Re: Diamante's replacement
I didn’t really find the Towers stories difficult to believe tbh, the guy did serious time and is an absolute unit, it’s hardly unlikely that he’d be regularly involved in trouble.
