What a fight Golovkin clearly near the end but still got rid of a very durable champion away from home
ya, obviously ggg is past his best and i think canelo beats him up next..............but for a 40 year old that is a nice win and performance. good accomplishment becoming unified on the road.

i think even on that form ggg would still beat everyone but the very best

Still a great watch GGG. Love his uppercut and looping lead hook. He definitely needed a lot of breathers last night, almost punched himself in the 9th before ending it.

I hope he fucks canelo off. In fact i hope Bivol beats him anyway. GGG doesnt need 168 and canelo will beat him badly now.

Much rather munguia at 160.

Mung at 160 would be ideal... Id be keen on Charlo as well. At 168 id be keen to see him with Benavidez.

Canelo is such a good reflex fighter, great head movement, great counters, iron chin, hellish bodyshots. All wrong for GGG at this point. GGG needs someone there to be hit, especialy with the jab, canelo slips that jab all night i think.

There’s noticeable decline there for sure but those heavy hands will keep him winning fights at world level.
A motivated, bigger Canelo probably… sadly… breaks him down. I do not want to see that.
Stay at middle and fight the likes of Charlo or Munguaia.
The Eubank fight has potential but I don’t like Chris and don’t want him to get any big fights.

Canelo definitely has way too much for Golovkin nowadays and I really don’t want to see the third fight, especially since GGG was robbed of a win & a draw in the first 2 imo, and Canelo is a blatant PED cheat. But if Golovkin gets a big final payday which sets him and his family up forever, who could blame him for taking it.

At the time of stoppage, the scorecards read:

78-74 | 79-73 | 77-75

All for GGG.

The 79-73 card is crazy for me. I had it even after 8 but there were some close rounds.

Looks Murata wasn’t favoured at home.

That is quite wide. Mine was 77-75

Golovkin struggles more with each fight now. He beat Canelo twice (despite the constant gaslighting). But Alvarez will stop him if the fight again.
