Canelo stops GGG in September.

It’s already a foregone conclusion to me.

The DAZN commentators are annoying me by repeatedly claiming we’ve just witnessed “the GGG of old”.

Well they’re wrong, because we actually witnessed “an old GGG”.
Just a ridiculous review of a spectacular performance. Not surprised who typed it.

GGG had a hard first few rounds, he didn't like the body shots. To me it looks like he's lost something about him. Canelo has improved and GGG hasn't so I can't see GGG beating him.

GGGs jab just hits different to most. It thuds hard almost like joe joyces (GGGs jab is clearly better but i just mean the heavyness it lands with)..

If GGG were to keep fighting straitfowards guys i think he can still be top levle, but he needs to be matched well.

Mung is the fight.

Munguia has done absolutely nothing to earn a fight with GGG.

Just a ridiculous review of a spectacular performance. Not surprised who typed it. GGG notoriously starts slow and gives up exchanges early on in fights forever. GGG didn’t have hardly a mark in his face and came off a 14 month layoff to knock out a guy most incorrectly thought would give GGG a tough time. He didn’t. Winning one round or two before knocking out someone who’s never been knocked out before in no ways should be described as “tough challenge” you dope.

Yes, it displays a serious disrespect to Murata as well as a deep seated bias against GGG.

But we knew that much already.

There's something about fighters like GGG that tends to make a certain section of fight fans extremely defensive.

A real shame.

Anyway, I'm all up for GGG to face Canelo in Sept, even if, as we all know, strict PED testing will not be implemented.

Who, this side of Lennox Lewis, would be prepared to turn their backs on that kind of money?

Especially, when they're not facing Vitali Klitschko.

Golovkin is pound for pound number one rated on BoxRec. Canelo is number two. It is evidence of how much better Golovkin is because that is in spite of having a draw and loss to Canelo (both arguably should have been wins).

At the time of stoppage, the scorecards read:

78-74 | 79-73 | 77-75

All for GGG.

There will be a ratings correction on BoxRec. There was a bug in the BoxRec ratings program. Alvarez will be at 897 points and Golovkin at 671 points.

Indeed it was a good perfromance from G. He hammered Murata with some bad power punches. I liked that G cameback to his vintage style but with more punching variation and output. After this fight, G shook off the ring rust for a 3d Canelo fight.

“He’s going to mop up Golovkin,” said Tim Bradley to spam in predicting Canelo Alvarez will destroy Golovkin in their trilogy fight in September.

“I thought Golovkin looked terrible at the beginning and then closed strong at the end, which is good,” Bradley continued about GGG.

“That’s going to slow him down, I think that’s honestly going to slow him down,” said Bradley when asked if Golovkin will look better in going up to 168 to challenge Canelo for his undisputed championship in September.

“It’s a different animal. It’s his [GGG] first fight at 168 pounds,” said Braadly “He’s never fought past 160, bro. It’s a different animal. Canelo has fought at that weight and 175. Come on, dog. So, I see him [Canelo] beating him [Golovkin] and stopping him late.

“You saw it early on in his fight against Murata, Murata was going down to the body and pushing him back. That’s what Canelo is going to do. He’s going to press forward [against Golovkin].

“He’s a little more slippier than, a lot more slippier than Murata and he’s going to be landing his kill shots over the top, right hands, left hooks, whatever. He’s going to set him up.

“I think conditioning-wise, Canelo is at his peak right now, he’s fighting at his peak.

“I see him stopping him [Golovkin], bro, and if he doesn’t stop him, he’s going to hurt him really badly in the later rounds for sure,” said Bradley in predicting a Canelo will administer a beat down on Golovkin in their trilogy fight in September.

“What about down to the body?” said Bradley in predicting a victory for Canelo over Golovkin if they meet up on September 17th.

GGG seemed to me to be 30% less of what he was previously. Even so, what an amazing fighter he still is.

What a fight , what a fighter triple G . GGG 40 years old 478 days off and to fight like that. About 12 years past his prime.

Wow. No matter what the result with Canelo first fight, I had GGG clearly winning that fight, even with all the subtle advantages Canelo stacked in his favor in his fights with GGG.

I never fully appreciated GGG until tonight.

Yes at 40 Canelo probably beat GGG easy but he man 40 a big number..If it wasn't for the glory I would say don't risk your
health GGG and retire, but there is the glory of a Canelo fight and slim 10% chance of beating Canelo.

True. G is a machine for his age. Its not funny or sad, how the rest of the top mw fighters are staying safe avoiding to fight each other?

Even if 31 y/o Clenelo would TKO the 40 y/o G , I still think G is a better fighter, primeVSprime, than Clenelo aka the judges's darling.

You mean zero to most including myself so that’s not it. You just claim to be such a boxing fan purist but like a little girl who hates a boy band bc she feels her favorite boy band is better, she refuses to appreciate “the music”.

Your ridiculousness makes me laugh so that’s why I continue to magnify how much of a fraud you are. Omg, imagine if GGG beats Canelo this time? Do you have your excuses ready little girl?

Btw has Charlito hand-picking to fight Sulecki instead of fighting Munguia for bigger money ? lol

Ohh and guess what, Mung may fight Jacobs-a guy that Charlito avoided. :OhYes:
