There's literally no changes in the overall standings after this weekend as players scored 10, 15 or 20 points.

Unfortunately for me, I was the only player in the top 4 to lose some ground. BUT, it's only 5 points. Easily made up!

FIGHT PICK COMMITTEE

Focus next weekend is on Japan and US.

Image
Thinking the top 3 fights on this card are worth including.

Image
Top 2 here are decent enough, what about the 10 rounder?

Anything else?

those fights are good, and theres not much else to choose from

unbeaten young mexican prospect in a step up vs former wbc champ cristofer rosales is the only other one that stood out on the schedule

Let’s have Harrison-Garcia …

Add that to the GGG-Murata and Lubin-Fundora.

I’m not too keep on Ryan Garcia being on here.

Only thing is probably ring rust.. but should be a win for him no doubt.

ryan garcia Fight definatly one of the biggest fights of the weekend with a contender vs a guy thats ranked by WBC and Transworld boxing rankings. . And his opponent is effectivly undefeated (got knocked out once when he was 15)... Not saying its a 50-50, but the ghanan has basicaly shut out some people that can box a bit. so i guess he can box a bit.. Everyone will likely pick garcia by KO, but round picking will at least be interesting.

Given that we will include 3 from the Japan card and the top two of the card above that's 5 fights.
Think Ryan Garcia's is less of a pickum than the others so will leave it off this one.

Thanks for the input chaps.

Bookies have Ryan Garcia fight significantly closer odds than the third fight on the GGG card. Don't think its a big deal, but interesting that most people saw it as more of a Pickem.

I didn't look into the TBRB rankings, had assumed Tagoe was someone plucked from nowhere for a straight forward comeback, but maybe he will ask some questions of Garcia.

Figured it was useful to have fights from the same card in Japan and since there might be a little bit of unknown about them it was worth putting them in. :TU:

No movement this weekend in the overall standings at all, but there's gonna be some double point bouts coming up for the rest of April, so things might start moving and shaking!

FIGHT PICK COMMITEE

Thinking of these for next weekend.

Conor Benn (20 0 0) vs Chris van Heerden (28 2 1)
Chris Billam-Smith (14 1 0) vs Tommy McCarthy (18 3 0)
Errol Spence Jr (27 0 0) vs Yordenis Ugas (27 4 0) - Has to be a double points fight
Radzhab Butaev (14 0 0) vs Eimantas Stanionis (13 0 0)
Isaac Cruz (22 2 1) vs Yuriorkis Gamboa (30 4 0)

Potential backup
Francesco Patera (25 3 0) vs Samuel Molina (19 1 0)
Might be a bit of a mismatch, given Molina has a record made pretty exclusively in Spain.

That's a good selection there Fightie, except Connor Benn, I think Van Heerden is tailored for him and has very little chance. But what do I know, I'm not a bastard. :maybe:

looks good, crowley - lopez as another possible backup

maybe a backup fight should be included in the normal picks , but only counted if one of the others is scrapped. that way everyone still has the backup accounted for even if the cancel is late notice.

I Think picking 5 is enough that backup fights arnt nessasary. If one gets scrapped and it becomes a 4 fight round thats fine. You cant change late, because people will miss it i think.

I like the look of those fights picked though. I also like it when it ends up being 2 from one card uk, 3 from one card USA, dont have to try be across cards going on at the same time.

that's why you predict the backup in the actual prediction post, no worries about ppl missing the backup due to late change

Don’t feel like we need Benn.

It’s guaranteed 5 points.

It would be a contest of WHEN he gets the stoppage.

Yep I wasn't bothered about the Benn fight but it was the main bout for that event and a "4 star" contest. Likelihood is all players go for Benn stoppage and a few might pick the correct round for an extra 5 points. I'm not convinced it's worth including, so will give it some thought.

Fightnight scores needs to make a very technical decision here... and im afraid i dont think he is going to help you...

1, because your feirce competition..

2, because if you get the method, but the winner wrong you dont get any points... they seem to flow on from each other, gotta get 1 to move onto next.

Trying to muster up his points. Fair play. If you ask you don’t get.
