I appreciate the footwork, defense, use of angles, feints and the timing. I consider shutting down Wlad's offense a very impressive feat. Here's a guy who barely lost a round for a decade or so and he simply couldn't get his jab off. I am someone who likes a chess match of a bout though so I realise it's not everyones cup of tea.

I do remember Ruiz Byrd but Klitschko Fury threw no punches

By the way Byrd stayed busy in most of his fights. He may have not wanted to go toe to toe but he kept himself in there
Ruiz was a hugging machine but effective. No one can ever mistake his fights for classics but he was good at punch hold hold hold punch.

Fury Klitschko just seemed to be 2 big guys doing nothing for 12 rounds

Byrd vs Williamson was definitely unbearable. That and one of them Mickey Bey fights are the 2 worst I've ever seen. Fury vs Wlad is the 3rd worst, and probably holds the record in my mind for the most gutless way a great Champion ever lost his title.

But were they all cleanly landed on the button blows, I think not. Even in the first fight where he rose like the undertaker the blow wasnt as flush as even TV might suggest. Fury rides with the punches beautifully, or has done so far. Personally feel a really cleanly landed blow would count him out. So yeah, besides the age of time, the Wilder fights have taken nothing out of him. He's probably fresher and as big a force as he ever could ever be right now, and for the next few years.
