Ruiz might last the distance but he'd lose every round.

Wlad would out-box Ruiz behind his jabs, right hands and combinations to either decision him or stops him in late rounds.

In the blue corner a fighter that hugs 103 times per round
In the red corner a fighter who hugs 88 times per round

Jesus Christ I'd rather watch paint dry

Wlad at least could finish opponents after they had become tired. I think, he would do the same with Johnny. They would embrace each other for about 8 rounds, while Wlad would outjab Ruiz a bit during some moments between hugging and later in the fight he'd land the right hand bomb to KTFO Ruiz.

Ruiz could have been a pretty decent fighter, but he struggled with laziness... Wladimir would pick him off to a convincing and wide UD.

At one time Klitschko was not like that and could have bombed Ruiz away. Always a risk with that glass jaw but he probably would nailed him before getting nailed.
Later on, it would have been Clinchfest.

Oh I remember when he was exciting
But that glass jaw had to be covered up somehow. And like Ruiz the clinching worked.
It just bored the hell out of me

Always thought it made sense for Klitschko to punch and hold when he was fighting someone mediocre. Why take the chance with his chin and stamina?

However, if he would have had to fight a great fighter, his best chance would have been to bomb away and hope for the best.
