Jason Cunningham vs. Terry Le Couviour | BT Sports - 16 April 2022
Re: Jason Cunningham vs. Terry Le Couviour | BT Sports - 16 April 2022
Yeah he was bad, Cunnigham has become half-decent tho.
He did what good fighters do to bad fighters with some style.

He was useless. Couldn't throw a punch properly. Lasted longer than expected to be fair, at least!

This is an astonishing atmosphere for an IBO international trinket 10 rounder.
FWank will keep the Heaney show running for as long as he can.

Ramirez's wild swings seem to start from another time zone but if he showed a bit more ambition I'm sure he could win this.
Re: Jason Cunningham vs. Terry Le Couviour | BT Sports - 16 April 2022
I got 77-74 Heaney.
He's outworking Ram and it was only a flash KD.

Is Heaney headlining??
The whole crowd is there for him..

Yeah, IceMan has been.
Wasn't the worst card in the end, but the flashes of the other two that I caught in the breaks looked much better.

97-92 for me and thereabouts x3 for the judges.
With (very) careful matchmaking and consistent improvement Heaney could win a British, inveigle a vacant Euro title and get KTFO very quickly in a home stadium fight WT challenge.
Not a bad career.

I do wonder if having this kind of following is a bit of a distraction for a novice like Heaney. He’s still learning but will always have the pressure of a massive crowd behind him.

well ya, I'm talking the maximum possible.
He WILL be carefully matched and given every chance though...

Somebody pinch me. He won't win a British title unless he gets an opponent way down the list of top British middles.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑16 Apr 2022, 18:12not a bad career, one i doubt happens though

i agree, just not good enough for that type of run even with very generous matchmaking
Re: Jason Cunningham vs. Terry Le Couviour | BT Sports - 16 April 2022
He's 33 too so little time to pick and chose anyway.

Just caught the show - not very good again from FW. Another unknown opponent for the European belt in a main event that turned out to be a mismatch.

Easy nights work for Cunningham, he's developing into a seasoned champion, still where does Warren find these European title challengers? Le Couviour as bad as Metz, he was woeful, Cunningham won everything, killed him to the body with they left hands, kept him at bay with the long southpaw jab and dominated everything, dropped Le Couviour in the 2nd and 3rd round with lefts downstairs, Le Couviour to his credit hung around a wee bit longer bit when Cunningham drove that left to the pit of the stomach in the 6th he was done

FWank's true HOF genius is for finding credible challengers "on paper" but not "on canvas".handsofstone wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 06:09 Easy nights work for Cunningham, he's developing into a seasoned champion, still where does Warren find these European title challengers? Oh and BTW shout out to John Latham for that Andrew Cain stoppage, one of the worst I've seen, horrendous, you could see even in replay Lopez's eyes looked clear but ref was choking for a 20 second stoppage
Re: Jason Cunningham vs. Terry Le Couviour | BT Sports - 16 April 2022
Well I bet on Cain R1 @ 12s so well done John Latham for protecting a brave fighter from himself !handsofstone wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 06:32 Oh and BTW shout out to John Latham for that Andrew Cain stoppage, one of the worst I've seen, horrendous, you could see even in replay Lopez's eyes looked clear but ref was choking for a 20 second stoppage

Frank used to be able to get away with those kind of opponents but with footage so readily available and the help of Boxrec it’s fairly easy now to judge whether someone will be competitive. Plus boxing promotion is more competitive now with more networks involved and it’s surprising Frank hasn’t isn’t putting on higher quality shows. The regular BT shows so far this year have been, on whole, crap and I’ve only enjoyed the Bourke/Leach fight.skanksta wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 06:24FWank's true HOF genius is for finding credible challengers "on paper" but not "on canvas".handsofstone wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 06:09 Easy nights work for Cunningham, he's developing into a seasoned champion, still where does Warren find these European title challengers? Re: Jason Cunningham vs. Terry Le Couviour | BT Sports - 16 April 2022
Cunningham has definitely improved and looks a pretty composed fighter at the minute but Fletch on comms kept mentioning about working his way into WT contention after this, presumably he meant a possible shot for a vacant title in the future as he doesn't want to be anywhere near Fulton or Akhmadaliev (think Jason is #11 with the IBF?). Problem is at 32 he doesn't have an eternity to wait and there's other decent fighters ahead of him in the pecking order at super bantam, happy to see him put a run together though currently (Terry was pretty hopeless last night mind!).

I’m not even arsed about finding any highlights for this show.
Watched Benn yesterday. Taped and watched Boxxer this morning.
BT can suck my balls.
