Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
i feel tyson has come away from his boxing skills now, i reckon he is going to brawl again ,but this time expect tyson to be sharper, think it will be a bit of tare up in the centre of the ring, iam going fury rd4 ko upper cut, wild fight i feel
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Possibly. And why not? It's extremely hard to imagine anybody today, who can either outbox the raging Fury or fight him back successfully. It's possible to imagine only catching him like Wilder did.

Maybe rewatch the final round of the Otto Wallin fight. Fury looked tired, ragged and very relieved it was over. This Whyte fight is definitely going to be a reality check. Possibly a real ass whopping.

the wallin fight where fury got his face sliced off and was clearly hurt late on doesnt count for some reason for a lot of ppl

It does count, but only a little bit and you obvs know why.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 04:32 the wallin fight where fury got his face sliced off and was clearly hurt late on doesnt count for some reason for a lot of ppl

Because he took Wallin lightly, wasn't properly match fit, Wallin was a bit better than we thought, it was a cut and they happen sometimes.....
TGK looks in better physical and mental shape now than he did then, he's been fighting regularly at a good level, much more so than Whyte.

im not comparing the wallin fight to this fight either btw, it wasnt meant as 'well he had issues with wallin so whyte might ktfo him'

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I’m really looking forward to this now. I think Whyte is a live underdog. If Fury comes in heavy (similar to his last fight) then it gives Whyte a real chance. If it was the Fury who fought Hammer/Chisora 2/Wlad or had close to that movement then it’s an easy fight for Fury.
Fury is easier to hit now and Whyte has a good jab, solid fundamentals and has power too. I still think Fury wins but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s really tough fight for Tyson.

You (claimed to be) very high on Wilder beating Fury first time and the rationale for that was largely the Wallin/Pianeta performances.
I'm not writing Whyte off either btw.
He's a big, hard bastard who loves fighting and will give it his all. You can never write them off as we've seen so many times.

It's No1. vs No.4 and if Fury isn't on it, or has declined, then Whyte will find him out.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I just can’t see what whyte does that fury doesn’t do better. I’ve read loads of posts of people saying he’s ‘gritty’ like furys never been there before. They mention his body punching, but I’d fancy fury to match him on the inside. He’s apparently got a good jab but he’s not winning that contest no way. He’s got a dig but no comparison to wilders. Only if furys SERIOUSLY underprepared does he win imo

Pianeta and Seferi then.
Point still stands tho - Wallin doesn't "not count" but, there are valid reasons/standard excuses that mean it doesn't count for that much.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Fury is bigger, heavier, longer, can box AND fight, plus has better wins.Steveh583 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 05:32 I just can’t see what whyte does that fury doesn’t do better. This is FACT - it's why he's the clear favourite, BUT Whyte is not without a chance is he ?

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I agree with you that Tyson is better in pretty much every department but whilst Fury is fighting more aggressive he’s easier to hit than he was previously and his riding of the punches isn’t as good for me as it once was so I can see Whyte hitting and potentially hurting Tyson. Tyson’s obviously got a great chin but as we’ve seen with several fighters a boxer’s life and fights (particularly Tyson’s ballooning and losing weight) can catch up with you at some point.Steveh583 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 05:32 I just can’t see what whyte does that fury doesn’t do better. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I quite agree - Fury may well be much more exciting and and give Whyte a bigger chance, but how often do we see a guy do this, but then back off and "box a decision" over the last few rounds.
Fury can do that and Whyte can't. Plus Fury might well win "a dogfight" anyway.

From what I'm told, Tyson is 100% on it. No excuses if he gets beat. He's not even bothered by Whyte, just wants to put on a show for his homecoming.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
That fight was 118-110-ish and even in the final round Fury wasn't in critical situation. Most of his problems were caused with the massive cut.polecateddy wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 04:24Maybe rewatch the final round of the Otto Wallin fight. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I’d agree with you if Tyson was weighing 260ish but can Tyson dance around the ring at 275-280 late on in a fight? He probably can but it’s certainly not going to be as easy as it used to be for him.skanksta wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 05:41 I quite agree - Fury may well be much more exciting and and give Whyte a bigger chance, but how often do we see a guy do this, but then back off and "box a decision" over the last few rounds.

It’s the putting on a show that may give Whyte a chance. If Fury tries to do what he did to Wilder in their second and third fights then I give Whyte a chance. If he decides to outbox Whyte then I don’t give Whyte much chance at all.mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 05:50 From what I'm told, Tyson is 100% on it. No excuses if he gets beat. He didn’t look very match fit in the 3rd Wilder fight either. I’m sensing a trend!skanksta wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 05:05"y" short for "yes" - of course you know why !?

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Literally nobody said he had a good camp for that! Even him and his dad.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
But he looks in great nick already too me and The-Fly-On-The-Wall has confirmed this.
If he's foolish he'll go like Sunny "Delight" Edwards (why isn't he called that?!
) and go for it early before easing off if he can't get the stoppage.
If he's clever he'll frustrate, tire, befuddle then crank it up late for the stoppage. A bit like Chisora II or maybe peak-Mourinho Chelsea

He had a very bad camp and understandably so with his baby daughter at death's door. Good reason/excuse for it.polecateddy wrote: ↑17 Apr 2022, 05:58He didn’t look very match fit in the 3rd Wilder fight either.
