I forgot these two were having a rematch.

Carl Frampton gonna carry the spit bucket again?

I listened to an interview earlier with Frampton randomly. He said he wouldn’t piss on the McGuigans if they were on fire.

Shame it’s worked out like that.

Carl said that Shane had him doing 220 rounds of sparring for the Quigg fight. Crazy really considering the damage it could do long term. He was still complimentary about Shane as a trainer though.

Excellent performance from Billam-Smith and left no doubt who the superior fighter was this time in the rematch :box:

Chris took a couple of rounds to suss out McCarthy, but the further the fight went the more Billam-Smith landed damaging punches.

McCarthy was hurt badly at the end of the 4th, but when Billam-Smith had him going again in the 8th there was no mercy and closed the show in style :salut:

Would anyone fancy CBS to win a rematch against Riakporhe?

I think it’s a really good fight and I’d slightly favour CBS. He might get hurt but I can see him out working Riakporhe.

Depends on the referee in a rematch IMO.

If RR has a Homer ref then he will win again .

Given the importance of this fight, I was pissed off Mccarthy was gassed after 5.
Great fight up until the 6th, but it was inevitable the result after that.
CBS did what he had to, got the stoppage and where he goes from here, I wish him all the best.
Probably the best fight on the card.
I hope promotors eventually realise, we don't care about unbeaten guys knocking over soft targets for 20+fights like Benn, we want close matched battles like this one. Who cares about losses? We care about not being able to predict the results, and in the first 4-5 rounds, this fight could have gone either way, and it was exciting :box:

time for cbs and big rick to fight good international names. this was a fine fight but unless they are rematching next, now's the time to move on from the domestic circle jerk of guys who are supposed to all be at least euro level, let's see them prove themselves globally now

as for tommy mac - just not sturdy enough for the higher levels

Be good for CBS to do a better job on that Pole Okolie fought and it would get him in the top 10.
