Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Fury is generally accepted as the best of a very bad bunch. I hope he has enough to get passed Whyte so Usyk can take all the belts off these hype-jobs.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
I was referring to the “I don’t rate Fury” comment by another poster.
Jeez…. How the hell do you even start to create a discussion with that.
That poster isn’t allowed an opinion. Full stop.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Personal opinion.
If you don't rate Wilder, and think Wlad's performance was sub par, then there is an argument not to rate Fury.
Not my opinion, but I can see how others could come to it.

Yeah, well... I don't rate Ortiz, the guy has done nothing to impress me since Jennings in 2015. A lot of folk will argue him out boxing Wilder, but so did Washington until he got sparked. And I just watched him struggle against Charles bloody Martin for goodness sake. But again, plenty of guys will heatedly disagree with me.
So we all have varied opinions

Who do you rate, blud?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Well Ortiz is supposedly 43 now (and possibly older) so no surprise he's not impressing you at this age.KiwiRider wrote: ↑18 Apr 2022, 17:03

Even if he was impressing you at 36 that shows considerable longevity !

In HW?
Probably Joshua then Fury, based on resume. Then Uysk based on his Cruiser clear out, and of course beating AJ. If He beats AJ again, then Fury/Usyk /Joshua. Joyce- I'm on the fence, maybe I'm being pedantic, but I need some proof he can cut it at the top level.
After that, it gets pretty crappy.
Jared Anderson is my (and most people's) top prospect. And finally I rate the Cuban Flash- Frank Sanchez. Maybe not as a future champion, but I think he is a hard night for anyone.

He's broke his leg!TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑18 Apr 2022, 14:40Wilder has no jab, just one punch. Imagine what Lennox would have done there.
As I keep saying, I'd back Joyce against Fury, but probably not against AJ or Usyk. Fury wins a lot of space with his size and range for his skills to have their best effect, and Joyce is tall, strong and brave enough to contest that range, with a chin that should last 12 given how hard it'd be for Fury to tire him in clinches.
What if Joyce just keeps walking through the herky-jerky? It's probably my most-wanted heavyweight fight at the minute.

I see it going even worse for Joyce as it did when they met all those years ago and Usyk was running rings around Slow Joe. Since then Uysk has got even better, and Joyce is about the same.

Ruthless has normally posted some links to build up shows / interviews by now.
Has Whyte's media blackout put paid to any of that ?

Still seems fairly quiet promotionally for this compared to say an AJ fight or the recent Brook/Khan fight. Fury will need to go into overdrive at the press conference.

Yeah - that’s a big part of it but they would have known about that though so I’m surprised they haven’t lined up several other avenues. When Tyson fought In the second fight they had a lot of help from ITV. I haven’t seen any of that (yet at least). I’ve seen no advertising on Facebook from BT or Frank and not loads so far on social.mickey1975 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2022, 03:19There is one reason. Sky sports news. I’m sure it’ll ramp up but it doesn’t feel like the fight is this Saturday.

There's been plenty around the football matches on BT but nothing near the Khan/Brook levels.maverick23 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2022, 03:26Yeah - that’s a big part of it but they would have known about that though so I’m surprised they haven’t lined up several other avenues.
