They’ve got the Cruiserweight Boxxer series show on May 21st but that’s it.

After an excellent first 2 months, things have dropped off. The Marshall show wasn’t particularly good and whilst I quite enjoyed the Boxxer show on Saturday (I caught up on it yesterday) I’d prefer a good, traditional boxing card and the Boxxer/Prizefighters to be 2/3 times a year.

Given the competition now for dates I’m surprised promoters aren’t announcing dates further out.

I think sky's trying to figure out when AJ is so they can work everything around that. You don't want it all bunched up, so where ever AJ goes they will likely aim a couple of weeks wither side.

Yeah - they need more lined up. I’m not expecting 3/4 U.K. shows a months but they need to be having 2 a month just to keep their fighters active.

All the U.K. promoters need more shows lined. Frank’s got 3 (inc this weekend) whilst Boxxer only have the one which is strange for them as it’s not like they’re putting on other big shows worldwide which will be Eddie’s excuse.

Eddie has said AJ vs Fury is in july, didnt say a date, but july. I think this should free sky up a bit to start announcing some late may/june cards soon.

Yeh, then they’ll use those cards to hype up the PPV.

Don’t forget in June we also have Beterbiev vs. Smith as well, they’ll probably add that in soon.

I could be wrong but I don’t think the fight has been properly announced yet. I think they’re trying to sort out what belts will be up for grabs.

I didn’t read the article that way. I read it as they were still reviewing it but from what Suliaman said I’d be amazed if they don’t approve it.

Is Eddie still claiming that he's made the fight?

i cant really see how this isnt tantamount to saying 'all good' for bert. its the head of the wbc saying they'll accept him fighting as canadian rather than russian. canadians arent prohibited from fighting for titles are they
“Beterbiev has been in Canada for the last 15 years. His children belong there and he was also born there. As he is eligible to fight as a Canadian, we won’t stand in his way,” Sulaiman said.

I agree but he also said the following in same article…

‘’So the WBC board is evaluating that specific case as we speak. We believe in what the world is doing but we also have to look at specific cases and make justice prevail."

It’s pretty certain that they’ll let him defend the belt (otherwise no fees) but it’s not quite rubber stamped by the sound of things.
